    Disneyland 50th Anniversary thread.

My family and I are heading to Disneyland for the first time this summer--right around the 50th anniversary--and we are desperate for some first-hand accurate information about the hotels outside the park. Can anyone help? Some of the user reviews on Tripadvisor.com have us worried--roaches...

Is it Right to Digitally Place a Dead Actor in a Modern Movie?

I haven't seen it, but I remember hearing about a movie that was supposed to be about a "virtual" actor. The movie's creators even tried to be mysterious to the public about whether the part in the movie was played by a real woman or was CGI. Is that the movie?

Is it Right to Digitally Place a Dead Actor in a Modern Movie?

I didn't have a problem with Olivier in the movie. It was a bit part that looked like a tribute to me--a tribute that fit in very well with the overall feel that the movie was attempting to create. It didn't feel any different than seeing a clip of a movie in another movie, It's a lot...

*** Official SKY CAPTAIN AND THE WORLD OF TOMORROW Discussion Thread

Couldn't agree more. Most of my enjoyment of the film was the "Gee, that's a cool idea" variety, rather than getting absorbed in the film. The movie kept drawing attention to itself as a movie (or at least I couldn't get that out of my head as I watched.) I admire the attempt at...

Where is the TV show Ed on DVD

I'm still waiting for the spin-off, Mike and Nancy. They were always my reason for watching the show. Now that I think of it, I would even like Warren, or Phil (well, maybe Phil would be too much--but Shirley, now...). The point is, I actually enjoyed the brilliant supporting cast much more than...

    Film adaptations of literature

The world deperately needs a serious, sensitive film of Don Quixote, made with the same care and attention that Jackson gave to LOTR.

Directors Best DVD in your collection beginning with the letter "E"

This letter is incredibly tough for me because I have several titles that get a lot of repeat play in my house. I am going to go with Eagles: Hell Freezes Over, which edges the others out only because I use it so much as a demo disk when friends come over. Runners-up: ELO: Zoom Tour Live...

Abbott & Costello Vol. 3, Halloween, Marx Brothers and W.C. Fields Titles COMING

Thanks, Gary. If the two are the same I'll go ahead and get the new Best Of DVD, though it's too bad they didn't put more work into these.

Abbott & Costello Vol. 3, Halloween, Marx Brothers and W.C. Fields Titles COMING

Just to be clear, then: if I am only interested in Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein and want the best video and audio quality, should I buy the stand-alone over the new Best of Vol. 3?
