I just received my new ATI 3007 last week and though it's not fully broken in yet it defintely bests the Cinepro 2K6 I had. It's fully differential from input to output and my soundstage and lower end have never been better. I can't wait to this baby is fully broken in. Mike
Calvin, I have the same situation but my kitchen is behind the listening position. I did not want to put in-ceiling speakers in because if I ever moved I wanted to take the rears with me and not have a lot of patching to do. So, I bought the JMLab Sibs and hung them from the ceiling behind the...
Hey Rob, Between your PB2-Ultra and my PB2+ Chandler should be rocking. If you want to show it off in person let me know I'd love to come by and see it and your welcome to come by and see mine. Enjoy! Mike
Stephen, I guess the Omnistats sounded tinny and weak. Maybe it was the room or setup but I was not really impressed. I guess I'll have to listen to the Sibs and go back and listen to the Omnistats again just to be sure. My only problem is deciding if the PowerPoints will be worth the extra...
Stephen, Somewhat in between in price would be the JMLabs Sibs. These are the others I'm considering if they really do hang on the ceiling. I need to go back to my dealer to listen and make sure they can be hung from the ceiling so this is another option. I did not like the OmniStats at all...
Stephen, I have not had the PowerPoints in my system but I have heard them and they are pretty awesome. But you're right they are very expensive in my opinion. I would love to have 2 to hang on the ceiling for my rear speakers but I'm looking for something a little cheaper and who knows maybe a...
Todd, I've also been looking at 7 channel amps in the $3000 range and have come up with the Sherbourn 7/2100, the Adcom GFA-7807 and the ATI 2007. Any of these amps would be great and I haven't sold my current amp yet, but I will be making a decision on one of these within the next couple of...
Thanks guys for the replies. I know there were a lot of Sherbourn users out there. Charles and Allan: Are you using the balanced connections between the AVM20 and the Sherbourn or the RCA connections? Did you have trouble hooking the cables up as the inputs are on the bottom of the amp...
George, Thanks for clarifying the 2 cord issue. Having choices is not all that great in some cases. I don't think I could go wrong buying any of these amps but it does not make the final choice any easier. The Sherbourn is the cheapest and I do like the monoblock design and the 2 power cords...
Allen, Thanks for the info. The Sherbourn amps are the only ones I have had a chance to have in my previous system, the mono blocks, and was just curious how cool and quiet the new amps ran. Anyone else care to comment, and yes Iam reading the Adcom amp thread. Mike
George, I just downloaded the GFA-7807 manual and it does not show 2 power cords. The only amp I have seen with 2 power cords is the Sherbourn. Are you sure about what amp your friend has? And your right about it being a heavy monster, almost 120 pounds. Mike
Hello all, I'm in the process of simplifying my system for my wife so I'm getting rid of my 2 and 6 channel amps and buying a 7 channel amp, now that there are some good ones out there. The Sherbourn 7/2100 has been at the top of my list for awhile but looking around today I found the ATI...
I was wondering if anyone has the newer seven channel amp, the GFA 7807? I'm in the process of simplifyng my system for my wife and I'm going from a two-chanel and five-channel amp to a seven channel amp. The Adcom fits the budget and the qualifications. What I want to know is does the amp run...
