Just watched this for the first time over the weekend courtesy of Netflix. What an outstanding movie. I haven't seen A Prophet yet, but I would be truly amazed if it were indeed better than The Secret in Their Eyes. I may have to buy this one. And, I agree with the previous commenters...
Adding to the praise... great review, Michael. One of the best I can recall reading on HTF. I already spent some nice time last week poring through the extras on disc 2, now I am really itching to watch the film again.
My copy arrived yesterday so watched the theatrical version last night; it's been a few years since I've seen it. Very good stuff. I'm not a picture quality expert, but what I saw looked great to my eyes. Plenty of grain, but still lots of detail, and no noticeable digital enhancement getting...
Yes, it is possible. There are a few apps that can handle that. Check the Business category. One is called Quick Office, and there are a couple others. None are perfect, and very large files will be cumbersome, but if you just need light or moderate ending they might be just what you want.

One of my very favorite movies is Witness. And I think my favorite moment/scene in the movie is near the beginning, when Samuel (the Amish kid) is in the bathroom in the train station. I won't go into more details in case someone hasn't seen it, but very tense and very well made. Love it...
Thanks for the review, Matt. This movie is one of my faves, a real gem from the late 60s. You did a great job reviewing and describing the movie. And the audio commentary sounds fascinating. I have the older non-Criterion DVD version from several years ago; have you seen that version by any...
In case there was still any doubt that Oppo is a fantastic company for customer-service, I grabbed the mail out of the mailbox this afternoon and inside was a little envelope from Oppo. I had no idea what it could be. So I opened it up and inside were two items along with this note:
Wow!
For what it's worth, you don't need the hardware mod, just a different firmware (I won't link, can easily find by googling). I installed earlier this week and it works. Now I can finally unload my DV-980H.
