Most of my working life has been as a film and video editor in Melbourne Australia.
In my early years I was a Film Editor at ABC-TV where I worked on numerous documentaries, news and current affairs, as well as dramas such as “Bellbird” and music programs such as “Countdown”.
During my first overseas trip to Europe, I was offered a position in (then West) Germany at Bavaria Film Studios (Geiselgasteig in Munich) where I worked on, among others, “Cabaret”, “Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory” and “Divorce His, Divorce Hers” (Taylor/Burton) (none as Film Editor - mainly as a gofer). Later back to being employed as a Film Editor at TV stations Bavarian TV (Munich-Freimannn), and ZDF. I stayed working there four years before returning to Australia due to homesickness.
In later years moved into producing and directing various documentaries, industrials and television commercials for (amongst many others) the Australian Ballet and on location for several months for Fiji Tourism.
I am now retired and these days enjoy travelling Australia in my campervan, and sometimes shoot family and travel videos for home viewing.
