    On real expensive system.

Cat's rather dated website is at: http://www.calaudiotech.com/ And their "featured theaters" link shows their "old", 6-figure speaker systems. Which, by the way, include something in the order of 26 in-wall subwoofers! Idea being so many subwoofers will ensure no nulls...but I'm more fond...

Wife said "NO!" to speaker stands - now what?

After showing or buying & installing (your call) the most decorator friendly stands you can find, if they still get a veto, show her how much MORE money it would cost to buy furniture-grade finished towers....which could translate into her upgrading to a matching coffee table or end table or...

    Pocket Martin Logans?

As someone flirting with the idea of getting the Omnisats for surrounds ever since they where announced, this is good reading for me. Have you by chance seen the new Gallo that is bigger than their Micro? I noticed an ad for something alittle bigger, but still apparently a single driver, ball...

    Costco - buying electronics there

Anyone know if Costco resells returned items without notice? A Toshiba combo TV/VCR I just brought home already had someone else's home video tap in it. That also explains why the batteries were also already in the remote.

Two Channel Tube Amp for Music

Mr Barnes dropped the word on another board that next month Norh is announcing an EL34 based integrated, priced at $399....

new outlaw product is a ... mid-range 7 ch. amp

Someone told me Rotel's 6x60 amp stickers at $599, so I'm thinking that price range for the 1050's 65 watts, maybe rated at 70 or 80 watts for sales brochure appeal.....

$80,000 to spend on audio equipment SUGGESTIONS PLEASE

Hey Geoff MK, I would suggest he go around to some of the local custom installers, and ask them what they might install. Then post the results here for comments. Like I said on another board, $60k of gear professionally installed will probably sound better than $80k of nice retail gear DIY'd.

Recommendations for rear in ceiling speakers

Link Removed But I'm thinking the NHT 6.3s have an MTM configuration. Have a link for a 3 tweeter NHT inwall? BTW, Has anyone had success with bipolar in-ceiling installations? I know DefTech, Triad, and B&W offer bi-polar in-walls, but I'm curious about in-ceiling performance.

Recommendations for rear in ceiling speakers

Hey Cary P, I think the omnisat's will be $350/ea US. I too was REAL excited about them, but the wife is already hooked on in-ceilings. :frowning: I haven't really shown her pictures yet, as this purchase will be later, so there is no sense in stirring things up this far out... :)

    Aragon Stage One

I wish they would hurry up and finalize the Soundstage upgrade & trade in policy! Any Soundstage owners considering the upgrade instead of the trade in? I've already got a Pronto, and OCCASIONALLY consider the upgrade....

Anyone know details on Mirage OMNISAT?

Looks to be a weird, kinda 360 degree "omni" pole that can be bookshelf/wall/ceiling mounted..... Might make for an interesting surround speaker....... http://www.miragespeakers.com/produc...info/index.htm

Pan and Scan -- Could it be ... ?

I agree with Michael Streeter, that pan & scan will be prevalent until widescreen TVs are prevalent. Just today, somebody @ work was complaining at how small a widescreen movie was on a 32" 4:3 TV. It must be either cost of manufacturing, or the opportunity to resell content, as I'm thinking...
