Back a few pages, someone asked what was cut from JASON X to earn an "R" rating. The screw scene was slightly trimmed, and Dr. Wimmer (David Cronenberg)'s death was also slightly trimmed. Also, the filmmakers used an alternate angle of Adrienne's face smashing scene that was less graphic. Also...
I have the officially released Video CD of the original Friday the 13th. It was released in China (I believe) a couple years ago. I've met Tom Savini several times and I got him to autograph it for me. The picture/audio quality is superb, but it contains no extra features.
I also just found out about the extended ending of April Fool's Day. Interesting twist, it was. Also, there were some deleted scenes from Wes Craven's New Nightmare that didn't make the DVD. They weren't cut as per the MPAA, just scenes that Craven removed.
Mr. Martin Blythe or whomever can answer this.... Is there any chance that the classic 1969 film LAST SUMMER, starring Barbara Hershey and Oscar nominee Catherine Burns, may ever be released on DVD? I love this movie and I'd like to see the fully uncut version released on DVD.
MY BLOODY VALENTINE -- a completely uncut version of the film. The entire FRIDAY THE 13TH series uncut. LAST SUMMER -- completely uncut version of the 1969 film starring Barbara Hershey and Catherine Burns. As long as I get those, I am a happy (Crystal Lake) camper.
I just want to keep this thread alive and support the efforts to restore all of the original eight FRIDAY THE 13TH films to their completely uncensored states.
For those U.S. citizens, www . vsom . com has the completely uncut version of this film available in a region free NTSC DVD. It will be a copy with no artwork, but well worth it for fans of the film.
I would like to see this film with all the footage that was cut for wide theatrical release way back in 1968. Unlikely though, because Warner Bros is as stubborn as Paramount at releasing films with additional footage.
I support a fully remastered director's cut as I always have.
Mr. Blythe,
I know that you have heard the call of the fans. The fans that make and have made Paramount the successful studio that it is. Now it is Paramount's turn to give to the fans as we have given to you.
We have seen the...
