You can get that screwdriver at any hardware store...lowe's, home depot etc. It can come as a screwdriver or a drill bit. I think they are even just called "star" bits.
I recieved my 25-31PCi last week (tuned to 22), and gotta say, after getting it all setup, it was as great as I had hoped/heard it would be. The first couple days I had it, I was getting a bit frustrated coaxing the best settings out of it in my room - was having some problems finding the...
Nice review, I'll have to rent it to tide me over until November. I'm excited to hear the sound mix on my newly arrived SVS :) I can understand the complaint about CGI sometimes overwhelming the film. I am a big fan of the movies, but thats because I am an original book fan, and the movies...
I use talcom or baby powder in em to soak up some of the dampness. I also run them through the washer at the end of every season, just make sure they don't go though a spin cycle, and use a gentle wash on them.
Sounds like a decent price. I recall someone saying something recently about a bestbuy sale on them for 149, but thats probably over. I paid about 230 including shipping for mine last year, I got the nspII set because I like the color better, but they are the same accoustically. Try...
You are more likely to blow speakers underpowering, rather than overpowering them. The Onkyo probably doesn't actually put out 85W rms anyways, most receivers fib that number.
Sub is about 4-5 feet to the right of the TV, both pushed against a wall. Sub is corner loaded. Carpeted floors. When I get my SVS, I may just have to put it next to my couch, to keep it away from TV. That is suboptimal though, because sitting right next to an SVS may be just too much bass to...
There isn't really a viable other place for my subwoofer, so moving either the TV or sub isnt an option. I get around the problem by pulling my tv out a few feet when I watch a movie to get it away from the sub, but I'd like a more permanent option. Since I am also getting a SVS soon, I think I...
Certain bass causes my panasonic 47" HD to get a pretty annoying rattle on the sloped back of it. Lightly pressing the plastic paneling makes it stop, but I'm at a loss how to permanently stop it. I'm at the point where I am going to try to take it apart and stuff a thin washcloth or something...
I hate threadcrappers. Take the "playing around" to a different forum Alex. Every character in this thread from you is a waste of bandwidth and taking away from a subject im interested in.
Yeh, and even better they are actually 7.1 analog inputs in case you need more channels for a new format. You can switch it to take 5.1 for sacd/dvd-a or 7.1 with the remote.
Holadem - I was wondering if anyone would get my boat pun :) Mark and Haggai, thanks for your responses. I hoped that most non-book readers would understand the entire scope of Grey Havens, so I am glad to hear you two did. :) I got concerned when my girlfriend and other friend that saw it...
