I was wondering the same thing.

I'm confused which version Robert watched... the review by Matt mentions a Criterion version from 2017 while Robert suggests there is a Warner version that doesn't appear to be on Amazon.

Ironically these new transfers are not suitable for large screens.

The digital release was just 3 months ago. I find it hard to believe that was a different master than the disc.

I've seen the recent digital version (projected) and it was abysmal. Very waxy to the point of distraction. I'm very surprised to hear the disc version is getting a positive reaction.
