I'm using a pair of Paradigm Signature Servo in my dedicated room. Spectacular subs. I can't imagine replacing them with anything since I'm so satisfied with those 2.

HDMI 1.1 can pass up to 1080p60, and up to 8 channels of 24/96 audio. Actually, I'm using a HDMI 1.1 pre/pro with the Toshiba HD-DVD player (HD-A1), and I'm passing 1080p60 to my projector (Sony Ruby) AND now passing Dolby TrueHD 5.1 with only one HDMI 1.1 cable. No need to wait for HDMI...

Same thing here. Just finished listening to Training Day and POTO in Dolby TrueHD 5.1 over HDMI 1.1 today.

The upscaling of my HD-A1 is good, but nowhere near what my combo Pioneer 79AVi at 480i over HDMI to a Gennum scaler was giving me with standard DVDs. But since I just sold my Pio 79AVi to buy the upcoming Pioneer Elite Blu-Ray player (that will pass 480i over HDMI also for standard DVDs! )...

I am looking at 1080p HD-DVDs in my system since 1 month already. My scaler (Gennum VXP) is properly putting 1080i back to 1080p w/o any problems, and my projector is showing "1080p" in the input info tab. :) And since it's a 1080p projector, I'm looking at 1080p for real... :)

Same thing here. Best PQ I have ever seen. HD-A1 with Sony Ruby and Gennum VXP de-interlacing. I would have paid 5000$ for a real HD player less then 1 year ago (but there was none...), considering the quality of my video and audio chain... and they sold it to me for 600$ cdn! Best bargain I...

With 1080i inverse telecine (Gennum VXP, Realta HQV), 1080i is easily put back in 1080p. That's what I'm doing right now with a Sony Ruby and Gennum scaler. And since I was able to try a Blu-Ray pre-production player in 1080p, I was able to compare both "resolutions" and I wasn't able to see...

HD-DVD player now playing at my place with a Gennum VXP scaler (to de-interlace 1080i) to Sony Ruby VPL-VW100 at 1080p (native resolution). And this paired with an Anthem D2 with HDMI 1.1, and the new audio formats passing through one cable only. This HD-DVD player is well worth the price...

New Anthem Statement D2 with a Gennum scaler and HDMI switching. There is no other pre/pro with that kind of video processing at any price. Paired with the Anthem P2 and P5, it's really something.
