I thought one of the reviews stated that the colors were back closer to the original color timing (more original blue, less teal that was added to the previous Blu-ray)? Or maybe it's only the 4K Blu-ray where the colors are more accurate to the original timing?

You mean in addition to the colors being back closer to the more correct original blue shade at night (a good thing), the dark scenes, which is much of the movie, are now quite a bit brighter overall, thus reducing the dark moody tense feel of the film?

One thing that is rather shocking, is the scan. I mean, come on, a brand new 2024 4K Blu-ray of Aliens, one of the best sci-fi movies ever and a fan favorite sure to get sales when released, and we don't get a 4K scan of the film to base the new disk master on?? Seems a little crazy... Having...

If he's re-doing Terminator 2, let's hope that means the color will stick to the original blue tint for night and not that teal nonsense. Hopefully this re-master also means lots of detail, but not artificial plastic-y looking. Are there any rumors on a release date for Terminator 2? I wonder...

The overall quality is nice, but they, once again, have changed the color timing. The signature cool look of the film has been altered to be warmer now. I really wish they would quit messing with the color timing in newer Blu-ray and 4K Blu-ray releases of so many movies and just leave them as...

Ah, I see. Ok, good to know. And yeah, it has little affect, as it still very nearly fills the tv screen.

Probably, most movies are at 1.85 if they aren't at an even wider theatrical ratio. So that's fine, but I wish they had not messed with the color timing, which has always been quite cool and stylized, and rather just stuck with a more nuanced delivery of the cool tones already present.

There are several reviews up now for those that want to check them out. Sounds like the level of detail is much better now, and with the natural film grain generally well retained. Color grading is a bit warmer on this release, so not sure why that was done. It seems the film is now at a 1.85...

Are there any reviews up before the 4K Blu-ray release date so we can have an informed opinion of how it looks?

Does the 2015 Lionsgate Blu-ray have the dreaded teal change in color?

That would be the perfect time to release it, and I agree that's when they will do it if it's released this year, which seems likely. I certainly hope they will preserve the original theatrical color timing with it's distinctive look, and go easy on any DNR and the HDR to keep the film's...

Does anyone know if there will be a U.S. 4K UHD Blu-ray set release similar to this new 4K Blu-ray being released in France later this year (link below)? Thanks for any info. =)
