Put my name on the petition too. I can't see how the footage could be destroyed (but then again....). Considering all the footage for film 1 was stored at Pinewood, and I expect 2 and 3 as well, the footage for 4 could be there as well.
I had a frame glitch (at the point where the Star Destroyer fires on the Tantive 4), but after I changed my player( a slightly older one), it had gone.
Hasn't anyone thought, before the 'much wailing and gnashiing of teeth' phase, is that the problem could be to do with the authoring company? And not Lucasfilm. They could quite well have delivered the assets in perfect condition, then the authoring company makes a mistake encoding the...
My copy arrived a few minutes ago. So, I'm going to go and get some things to eat whilst I peruse my new purchase. I still can't believe that they are here, the films, finally released on DVD.
