I don't think we will ever be able to directly compare the two formats. There just seem to be too many variables. I will say that I love dvd-a. I remember when it first came out how happy I was about everything but the ability to play them in my car. Great recordings but lack of compatibility...
I am also only interested in the Hound of the Baskervilles. It's a shame this won't get a full restoration. To me, it's vastly superior to the other films. Jon
My biggest problem with the tw pvr is the fact that you can't do keyword searches. I'd gotten so used to typing in "egypt" in my 501. A few seconds later many titles with egypt as the keyword would pop up. It's gotten to the point where I might go back the dish because of this. Jon
I've often thought that audio drama would be great on dvd-audio or multichannel sacd. I'm a big radio drama fan and I'd love to hear new productions done in multichannel sound.
It's a really good short series that aired in America on the scifi channel I think. I'm sure it's a british production. I remember loving it when I first saw it. Jon
