Kino Insider - is it at all possible to release those Universal pre code films that almost none of us
have seen ? Such as "Destination Unknown" (1933), "Laughter in Hell" (1933), "Madame Spy" (1934)
and others. Would it be a profitable venture ?

I know the Looney Tunes collections sold way beyond expectations. The first "Film Noir Collection" did very well in sales. I would expect that most of these box sets did OK, especially with the TCM fans.
Just viewed the old VHS release of "The Invisible Ray". This really needs to be remastered. A short scene involving Frances Drake and Frank Lawton is missing as well. Anyone elaborate on this omission ?
Let's hope the print of "Murders in the Rue Morgue" has been remastered and is complete all the way down to the "March of the Torches" music cue at the very end. Also am hoping for a new master of "The Black Cat". The current TCM broadcast version is newly remastered.

The movie itself is great entertainment overall.The Criterion release suffers from excessive DNR. I sold my copy a few years ago because of this. If the heavy noise reduction does not bother you, enjoy the Criterion DVD.
