Is the viewing distance as big of a deal for DLP as it is for LCD? I'm in the process of finishing my basement (no dedicated theater :frowning: ) and am looking to get a 65" DLP. I think my main viewing distance will be 10ft or less though. I have a 46" LCD in the living room and can definitely...
I have the 46" version and enjoy it very much. We have quite a bit of light in our room and I think it does an excellent job. SD Dish Network doesn't look that great, but OTA HD is pristine. I have the Oppo DVD player that upconverts to 1080i and am pleased with that as well. I can't really...
I've never seen this, and I'm going to be buying a 46 LCD before Christmas. What does it look like? Does anyone have any pictures they can post of either horizontal, vertical, or both? I want to make sure I know what to look for when I buy the TV. Thanks...
OK, so I've pretty much whittled my list down to the Sharp AQUOS LC-46D62U and the Samsung LN-S4696D. Any final thoughts? They're both 1080P (which I probably don't really need, as I won't be going HDDVD or Bluray any time soon, but what the hell...). The sharp has a 4ms refresh rate and is...
I have Klipsch F1 mains and a C3 center. I like them matched up with my SVS. I don't think you will be disappointed with Klipsch. Moving up to an H/K 635 this weekend. This should really make them shine.
Basically I'm looking for suggestions. I have an H/K AVR-635. Currently, I have Klipsch F1 mains, a C3 center, and an SVS 20-39PCi. I'm building a new house, and my wife is VERY un-enthusiastic about having all of my Klipsch gear in the living room. (The SVS is going whether she likes it or...
So, my TV only has 1 DVI input, and its currently being used for HDTV from Dish. How is the quality on the component outputs for the Oppo? I was planning to buy this one, but may be reconsidering. Can it be hacked like the samsung to upconvert over component? Are their specific samsungs that...
Just my $.02 I have the C-3 center, F-1 mains, and some cheapo surrounds (for now) paired with an SVS 20-39 PCi and I really enjoy the setup for movies. Music leaves a little to be desired...
So I'm getting a 20-39 PCI and I have hardwood floors. Do I need to put anything underneath the sub (a piece of carpet, rubber pad, etc.) or will it be fine just sitting on the hardwood? Is the hardwood going to have any kind of negative effect on the sound? Thanks!
