Looking for comments on NAD DVD players

That's funny, I upgraded from a NAD T-531 to the JVC 723!! The NAD players have the Chroma bug in a bad way. The JVC's don't, that's why I made the switch. Your TV is a Mitsu, which is suppose to show the Chroma bug fairly well, as does my Panny. Other than the Chroma bug I had no problems...

Best price for SACD players in Canada

I'm sure that Best Buy now owns future shop. I'm not sure what the prices on these units at The Sony Store are, maybe it's worth a look. Buying from the United States can save you some money but first you need a huge discount. I've ordered a lot of cycling products from the US. Using UPS...

    Cambridge Audio dvd300 &JVC 70BK

Sorry Kevin I couldn't tell you what other platform they are based on. I did notice as I mentioned that the onscreen displays are the same as in the Apex players. I believe the zoom feature was the same as well. Andrew: I'm not looking into the Panasonics because I have heard of the "flicker...

    Cambridge Audio DVD300

It was a hard unit to open up, the top is also glued down. I'm not sure what type of material the unit is made of. Seems like steel or aluminum. One of the salesreps said that if he was looking inside of a $2000(can) player he'd believe it. They all were totally impressed with the build quality...

    Cambridge Audio dvd300 &JVC 70BK

Alright, I've been having problems with the chroma bug, I hate it. I know it doesn't bother some people and others don't even know it's there. I bought the Cambridge Audio DVD300 yesterday with an updated C-CUBE chip inside with hopes of no chroma. Well it's still there! Even more so than in...

Does the Toshiba SD-5700 have the chroma bug?

Does anyone own this player that can tell me if it shows the Chroma bug? I heard the 4700 does and I'm currently looking at the 5700. Thanks Jeff

    Cambridge Audio DVD300

You could visit www.audioshop.on.ca and ask Marc for some info on it, as they stock that unit. I'm actually going to look at this player on the weekend or sooner. I've seen it before but not while it's playing. It's a gorgeous unit, no plastic on it to my knowledge. Nice remote but no...

    Playstation as DVD player

I never had trouble playing discs on my PS2 and I used it reguarly for a year. So not every PS2 has that problem. I did use it for a year and just grew tried of it. It's loud (the fan) and sucks up a lot of dust. It's also very slow loading and slow at skipping between menus and chapters. I...

    Best INTERLACED player under $500.00....

I'm interested in the same topic. The Cambridge audio player as well. I've seen it and I'm going to take a closer look at it later this week. If anything I can say it's worth the money just for the looks of the thing. It's awesome! But I also want to look at other player such as Panasonic...

Can anything be done about the Chroma Bug??

Is there anyway in the service menus to make the bug less noticable? Like adjusting the reds?

    Harman Kardon remote programming problems.

I've got my Harman Kardon AVR110's remote to control my Nad dvd but not my Panasonic tv or my Onkyo CD player. I've tried all the codes in the book and a couple extra from the Harman website as well as the auto search mode. The remote controlled my old Panny but not my new model. The CD player I...

Can anything be done about the Chroma Bug??

I'm using component cables and it's still there. I had a salesman tell me to use composite cables because otherwise my tv's comb filters are by-passed. Any truth to this??

Can anything be done about the Chroma Bug??

I've tried messing with the settings to help and have found that if I turn down the colour enough the bug goes away. Then like you said it affects the overall video quality. Any other suggestions?
