Let me rephrase the question... Will it make a difference whether I use a 30-foot DVI cable to connect to my HDTV, versus using a 30-foot HDMI cable with a DVI adapter? I know that HDMI cables are rated for longer distances, but does this even make a difference given that the SOURCE is DVI...
I'd like to connect my computer to my LG 42LB5D to use as a second monitor. What difference would it make if I connect it straight via DVI, or if I get a DVI to HDMI cable?
I found where I read about the expanded unicorn scene. Charles de Lauzirika gave an interview way back in 2002 about the new cut for Video Premiere magazine. I had to resort to the internet archive to find it:
VP: How is the unicorn sequence different now?
Lauzirika: It's just more obviously a...
I thought I'd read that the real unicorn footage (as opposed to the "outtake" in the director's cut) had been found and would be included in the final cut. Did I just imagine this?
Okay, four-disc-set means the movie is split across two, and there are two discs of extras. Plus NC-17 means at least as uncut as the Japanese version. I'm in!
Unlikely that Warner would create such a lavish box set for a relatively small Australian market, and ignore the giant market in the U.S.
I myself would still buy the cheaper set (assuming there is one). The only extra here that makes me reconsider is that spinner model. Assuming it's well done...
Pretty sure I read it in The Conversations. (Absolute MUST READ for any film buff or aspiring filmmaker!!!)
Anyhow, does anyone know if Harrison Ford's son actually sounds like him? Why not Harrison himself? His voice hasn't changed that much.
You may be thinking of Martin Sheen's brother, who does commercials and documentaries, and sounds exactly like his brother. In fact, I believe it was Martin Sheen's brother who actually did a lot of the narration in Apocalypse Now...
P.S.: Sorry for the off-topic post. I'm looking forward to...
Yeah, what a shame there isn't a behind-the-scenes documentary. I'd love to see the Dino de Laurentiis documentary "The Last Movie Mogul" on DVD some day. As I recall, it features a great impersonation by John Milius of Dino pitching his version of Flash Gordon. Didn't somebody mention a...
I'm coming late into this thread, but I think regardless of what Dino's intentions were, the camp that ended up in the movie is obviously intentional (as opposed to the unintentional camp in the original serials). Dino DID want a serious film of Star Wars caliber (or greater), and according...
Yeah, I would love a release of the American Godzilla 1985 as well. Although I usually prefer the Japanese originals, the Raymond Burr version is much more fun and entertaining than the somber original. It's also a wonderful cold war time capsule. (In the American version, the dialogue was...
Jim, are you playing this on a progressive scan set? The first Gojira DVD also had interlacing issues on progressive sets, and yes, I believe this is a flagging issue. I was hoping this would be fixed with the new titles.
