I saw the film in IMAX first, then in OAR 3D. While the IMAX was certainly staggering, I felt like the 2.39:1 framing was much more artful. Would be nice to have both though!
RotJ still tops the two new films for me as well, though I do like the new films well enough, particularly TFA. Say what one will about its narrative similarities to Star Wars, it was a genuinely fun film filled with likeable characters... just like Star Wars.
I just wish it'd been done in 3D. Prometheus is one of the best-looking 3DBDs I own, and I was looking forward to Covenant standing tall beside it.
Dug the movie, though.
Remember those storybooks you'd get as a kid that came with a 7" 33rpm record to listen to while you read the book? This right here is the cover of that storybook version of Escape From New York.
There's a rumour that, before the SEs came out on dvd, George tasked ILM with experimenting with replacing the puppet Yoda with a CG model; so the story goes, the ILM guys quietly and intentionally botched it so that George would change his mind. :)
I think they need to start reigning in these character names a bit. Sure the originals had lots of crazy names, but it was easier to deal with the Greedos and Lobots while hanging on to the easily-relatable Luke, Leia, and Han.

Paramount: Raiders of the Lost Ark
Shout Factory: John...
Being in Canada, I'm perfectly happy with the BB 3D version (don't care about steelbook) over importing the Target version. Those bonus features are bound to be pretty lightweight, anyway.
Thanks for checking! Mine works fine on the PS3 as well, and I've since found a solution for the PS4: when the (silent, for some reason) WB logo freezes (as it always does) one has only to wait exactly 52 seconds, and then it will go to the main menu.
Annoying, but at least it's consistent! :D
Hi guys. I've bought Gotham Season 2 from both Amazon and HMV within the last couple weeks, and both copies have the same issue: all four discs freeze on the WB logo screen, before even getting to the menu. Two copies from two separate retailers, and the exact same issue with both. Anyone else...
