Can somebody please clarify - is the audio soundtrack fully original on Spencer for Hire?

It is def there. At least 2 other disk owners have spotted it. It is at the party, just as the character walks past/behind the wooden column.

It's there, I have confirmed it with other viewers (via their own disks).

I was speaking figuratively, not literally.

What will this look like on a 100 inch 16x9 screen?

I finally watched this. It seems a bit dark to me. I particularly noticed that the whites were quite murky. Did anybody else observe the bad video glitch at 1.26.27 on their disk? The image breaks up for a second.

I watched this on my 100 inch screen and was underwhealmed by the video presentation. It put me in mind of the presentation of El Cid that got widely bashed. It is better than El Cid, but stlll lacked visual depth and vibrancy - probably on a related note I noticed a distinct lack of film...

Hoping someone can educate me on the PQ aspects of the disk... I watched it at 100 inches and observed that the actors faces were nicely detailed (not super detailed, but quite nice), but in the same shots that the faces were nicely detailed their clothes would often look noticeably softer in...

Well Twilight Time would be no help as they do not do any sort of restoration or film scanning themselves.

Warner Archives - the older bland covers that sucked When I started buying Warner Archive DVD's they were just doing the really cheapo bland covers (not the beautiful ones they offer now). Is there any way to get the newer nice covers for the older titles I have?

There are no releases of these at all. I have copies of these which are just downloaded TV rips (and are also sold on ioffer etc). It seems the only available versions of "Castaways" are missing about 20-25 minutes of footage (runtime just 70 minutes). Clearly cut in length by the TV...

It is a wonderful show - I had it on DVD-r copied from VHS. Strother Martin appears in 5 episodes (out of the total 8) and him and Jimmy Stewart make a great team. Stewart won the Golden Globe for his performance.

Should just add that the Aus DVD release by Flashback Entertainment is awful PQ and AQ.

Yeah but nobody with any credibility has said the BD is how Savini originally wanted it.

What is odd about it? He clearly felt that the DVD looked fine with no errors.
