OK well, after doing a lot of research and looking at a few other TV's in person for almost all day yesterday! I felt I was not going to be able to resolve the issues I was having with the Samsung UN75JU7100FXZA I bought. I also looked at the Sony 850D, did a bunch of research and for my needs...
So after going through a few new 4K TV and finally setteling on the Samsung UN75JU7100FXZA, It appears that during every football game I notice quite a bit of jutter.
I got calibration settings from: reviews.lcdtvbuyingguide.com...
OK I solved the issues with the new LG.... I went to my local Best Buy and bought a Samsung UN75JU7100FXZA !!! I had a few issues with the TV Setup routine, where it seemed to get caught in a loop of "Updating TV software, when complete TV will turn off and back on again automatically" This...
Edwin-S, Funny you mention that idea... I at one point owned a Wolf SDC-8 Projector and had it paired with a Screen Innovations Black Diamond 110" LED back light screen, and I remembered how much it helped the eyes on the big 110" screen I had. So the backlit idea came to me yesterday as well...
Interesting enough, I had a buddy load a Blu-ray into his Samsung UN75JU7100FXZA 75" Ultra 4K and this is what his looks like, also he purchased it from Best Buy and he paid for them to come out and calibrate it. His might seem a bit move even, but none the less it is noticeable and not "dark /...
Right, I did change local dimming settings to medium, tried all values actually, but unfortunately it didn't improve the washed out areas when viewing in a dark room, blur-ray displayed in letter box (bars at top and bottom of screen). Actual through, with my settings above, my HD TV channels...
From all I have been researching, I unfortunately feel it is most likely the IPS panel / Edge Lit causing this issue.
Here are my settings:
I started off with 'Expert (Dark Room)' picture mode
PICTURE Settings:
Smart picture mode: off
Picture mode settings: Expert Dark Room
Aspect Ratio...
So I agree with your logic... but 25% of the time I'm watch Blu-ray movies, but 80% of the time I'm watching TV, sports, documentaries, shows etc. So I'd hate to think that 80% of what I will watch most often will look no better or may be a bit worse than when watching on my plasma. I agree...
So I've been wanting to step up to a 4k LED for a while and finally found what I felt was a good model at a reasonable price. So I picked up a new 75" LG 75UH8500 Super Ultra HD 3D webOS 3.0 Smart TV. that I will be replacing my current TV with which is a 65" Panasonic TC-P65VT60 65-Inch 1080p...
Yeah, so the new "box" is having issues with changing channels again just like the old box. When you change channels the screen goes black for a few seconds and then you might hear audio first of see the picture first. Also I am sick of the fact that every time I turn to H2HD or SCI etc... I...
schan1269... well it was due to the deal I got... I wasn't intending on keeping the screen but knew of a few people that might want to the screen but already had projects. So my intention was to get a different screen but sell the one I originally got. But I could not pass up the deal.
I just go lucky... kind of! Best Buy where I picked up the Sony TV just listed it for $1,000 less than I bought mine for. So they gave me a credit for the difference + tax difference!!!
GREAT Advice! I talked to a buddy that use to live in my town, and had TW. Then he moved outside of town and his only option was DirecTV. I talked to him for about 30 minutes last night and he confirms pretty much everything said above! He has the Video Bridge and the Genie. I did trade the...
Yeah I'm with you on the Cable Modem... I did the same. For me its not a price issue. I call and negotiate my bill cheaper every time the rate changes. I've been with time warner for 20 years and I've never had anything else. My issues is the DVR equipment is horrible, it locks up, the play...
So I've been totally frustrated with my Time Warner service. The old/used/refurb'ed boxes they give you suck IMHO. It takes multiple seconds sometimes to switch between channels, the PIP placed the window as if I'm using a 4:3 TV. and hit or miss if they quality of the HD ch you decided to watch...
