What audio interconnectors do you use?

I built my own as well, I've been very pleased, cost about 20 dollars to make a 5 foot cable (bought rca's, solder, wire) out of Cat-5, it has been done before, time to make more though. -Greer

Onkyo TX-SR600 A/V Receiver - Anyone know anything about it?

David (nice to see a fellow Hokie)...I'm pleased with my SR-700, and at the price difference, I am glad I stepped up for the extra features, as for the "power ratings" the owners manual says 80 watts a channel with 2 driven....read the manual as it is more correct than the website (and the...

ONKYO TX SR700 Digital Receiver What do you all think?

I've been very pleased with my 700 as of yet. I have not cranked it as I feel the power is plenty loud for my current setup (no sub yet...I'm building my HT this summer). Anyhow, the onkyo user manual lists the power as 100 watts with 2 channels driven at 8ohms....while the website says 100x6...

Onkyo TX-SR600: First Impressions [and Comparison to the 595]

Norman, true, I guess it should be re-written on the website, however the owners manual is available online from onkyo as well, I know I read it before I received my 700 (I was waiting for a few months so I had to do something) -Greer

Onkyo TX-SR600: First Impressions [and Comparison to the 595]

not to be off base here(since I haven't seen this posted). On my owners manual(I have the 700 btw, but the owners manual is for both), it says for power "80W per channel min. RMS at 8 Ohm, 2 Channels Driven from 20Hz to 20kHz with no more than 0.08% total harmonic distortion). So really they...

    27 or 32? ~$500

I picked up the Toshiba 32A41 from best buy the other day, best price I could get locally and it ran just under 500 after tax. I'm pleased with the unit, there are a few things I don't like (only 2 set of A/V inputs, none on front, slower channel switching than old roommates JVC 32", and the...

    27 or 32? ~$500

the D series of the JVC line do the 16:9 squeeze in the service menu so I'd believe the i-Art should as well. -Greer

    27 or 32? ~$500

Matt, I'm currently fighting the same issue. I'm looking at the Wega 27", the JVC i-Art 27" and the Toshiba 32A41. Right now I think the Toshiba is going to win out for features and size, that and the picture is very nice on it, unfortunately, I haven't been able to see a dvd on the 32a41, but...

Onkyo TX-SR600: First Impressions [and Comparison to the 595]

steve if budget isn't the option, I'd say go with the 700 as it has preamps for everything if you ever want to upgrade, plus some other toys (upgraded remote I believe, dual room terminal upgrade, etc) -Greer
