I received the following private response which does satisfy me for now. First and foremost, we want to thank you for your support of our releases over the years. We wanted to respond to you personally so that we could properly answer your inquiry. WAC remains committed to releasing feature...

Warner Archive Discussion Thread (The Announcements/The Films)

I just posted the following message to Warner Archive's Facebook page. If I do not receive a public response I will send a private message to them. I feel some on these boards may share my questions and concerns about the way the program is moving forward. I am happy they are releasing more...

Twentieth Century Fox will make 100 films available digitally for the first time ever

I agree. I'm hoping to see "A Connecticut Yankee" (1931) and "Sun Valley Serenade" (1941) in the very near future, among others.

    2015 NFL Season Discussion

And the torture of being a Lions fan continues. The game should not have come down to that last play. The Lions did very little offensively after the first quarter, which has been the case far too many times this season.

    2015 NFL Season Discussion

You make a good point. And if the Cubs somehow manage to win the World Series, I'll believe anything can happen!!

    2015 NFL Season Discussion

One more thought...many people are saying today that the Lions were robbed by the referees last night. As someone who has witnessed hundreds of Lions games (and take many medications because of it), I am confident the Lions would have still found a way to lose the game even if they had gotten a...

    2015 NFL Season Discussion

In my opinion there are only two fanbases in the NFL that have a right to complain and feel screwed over...the Lions (my team) and the Browns. My father wanted to see the Lions play in a Super Bowl before he died, and that didn't happen. I'm 44 years old and have doubts I'll ever see it happen...

Twentieth Century Fox will make 100 films available digitally for the first time ever

While I would prefer that all these films be released on physical media, I am very pleased to see many titles from the 20's and 30's that have not been released before. I have never heard of several films on the list, which shows that Fox is dipping deep into its catalog of titles, which I...

    Universal Vault Series - Amazon.com exclusive DVD-Rs

I just received and viewed "Kitty" (1945) from Universal MOD and the picture is embarrassingly terrible. I didn't expect much based on the negative Amazon reviews for "Kitty" MOD and would have been happy with even a decent picture, but it looks fuzzier than a VHS recording would. "Kitty"...

    Christmas films Blu-ray wishlist

I would love to see "The Shop Around The Corner" (1940) on Bluray. IMO one of the most beautiful movies ever made.

    DISH vs. Sinclair Broadcast Group

IMO, as someone who had Dish Network for about 4 years before switching to U-verse and who has a close family member who still has Dish, Dish Network has far far more blackouts due to network disputes than other satellite/cable providers do. I can understand there being disputes and even...

The Twilight Time News and Info Thread

I would love to see more films from pre-1950. Any musicals with Alice Faye, Betty Grable or Sonja Henie would be great. Was it suggested at one time that Sun Valley Serenade (1941) might be coming from Twilight Time?
