    The episodes are from 35mm. The only 16 mm used was for replacement where the 35’s had deteriorated or had missing sections.

    The TimeLife sets of the show are mostly five episodes to a disc and they look and play fine and they carry the MPI logo on the discs.

    It’s called window boxing. But it appears that’s a function of the tv station or cable system broadcasting the signal.
