Will MGM and Warner Bros. collaborate on MGM's 100th anniversary?

What about Michael De Luca and Pam Abdy? They both moved in to Warner Bros. from MGM after the Amazon acquisition and the WarnerMedia/Discovery merger to repair the movie studio, and they're both producers and movie buffs who care about art, unlike people like Jason Kilar and Ann Sarnoff and the...

Will MGM and Warner Bros. collaborate on MGM's 100th anniversary?

WB is just trying to recover from the AT&T years and move back to theatrical distribution and physical media. And what about that international distribution deal they made with MGM last year?

Will MGM and Warner Bros. collaborate on MGM's 100th anniversary?

To be more accurate, MGM's distribution partnership in general is with Warners. SDS is just the US and Canadian joint venture distributing Warners' (including MGM) and Universal's physical media products.

Will Ron Sanders ever return to Warner Bros.?

It's been exactly three years since he was fired by AT&T in 2020 along with most of the other home entertainment staff at Warner Bros., but for all the wrong reasons. Will he rejoin Warner Bros. and lead or consult on their home entertainment efforts again, or at least join Studio Distribution...

Will MGM and Warner Bros. collaborate on MGM's 100th anniversary?

Next year is 2024, which marks MGM's 100th anniversary, but MGM shouldn't celebrate it by themselves with just their hodge-podge library including United Artists and a bunch of low budget and independent film libraries like Orion, PolyGram and Cannon that Kirk Kerkorian and Giancarlo Parretti...

The future of United Artists under Amazon's ownership of MGM

Why did Amazon think they're smart enough to finally kill off United Artists Releasing by merging it into Amazon Original Movies or whatever after buying out MGM? Was it all because of COVID-19 leaving UA a faltering distribution company ever since all movie theaters closed in 2020 and that No...

WarnerMedia merger with Discovery. What now?

Really. If it wasn't for the telephone people and these other Hollywood outsiders including Kilar and Sarnoff, then Sanders and his team would have stayed at Warners, plus he would have started collaborating with Eddie Cunningham at SDS (which he was in the middle of negotiations on by the time...

WarnerMedia merger with Discovery. What now?

You don't know who those people are, even after they were all fired wrongfully?

WarnerMedia merger with Discovery. What now?

They didn't ruin the DC films, and that's not the reason they were fired. The AT&T heads and their cronies Kilar and Sarnoff only fired them all because of COVID-19, and they made this disastrous decision for Warner Bros. to go streaming-only. What's even worse is that Ron Sanders' firing was...

WarnerMedia merger with Discovery. What now?

I know George Feltenstein was only rehired last year, but since AT&T gave up WarnerMedia and merged it with Discovery, whose management took over the new company, will the new heads of Warner Bros. Discovery and whoever becomes the new head of Warner Bros. itself rehire any of the other...

Press Release USHE Press Release: House of Gucci (Blu-ray)

The other UA Releasing titles were by other companies too, and they're not just from MGM, but also Orion and Annapurna (the other partner in the joint venture). The Orion titles went through Warner and Fox and Annapurna's titles were originally handled by Fox. Wrath of Man went through Warner...

Press Release USHE Press Release: House of Gucci (Blu-ray)

Don't listen to Wikipedia's false claims. Not all UA Releasing-distributed movies including the MGM titles are handled by Universal, the only ones handled by that studio are the movies they handle international theatrical distribution of (including the ones you mentioned), just like how certain...

    Warner Archive Announcements Thread

I'm sorry if this is unrelated to Warner Archive, but will Ron Sanders (WB's former physical media/theatrical distribution president who was fired last year) and any members of his former team ever return to WB, or does he need to join the board of directors at Studio Distribution Services...

Amazon to buy MGM! See Post #11

Well, George is back at WB now, but does that mean he, the rest of WB's home entertainment team and the people at MGM can finally confirm the physical media deal? An official announcement was unfortunately stalled by the mass WarnerMedia firings affecting the jobs of him, Ron Sanders and many...

Amazon to buy MGM! See Post #11

Wikipedia is wrong. UA Digital Studios was just a short-lived use of the UA name for MGM's former short-form digital unit, plus "Mirror" isn't the original name of the joint venture with Annapurna, just a banner for third-party movies. The venture itself wasn't even its own company until 2019...
