Yes, someone pointed that out to me and it ultimately led to me ordering one as well. $120-150 savings over the Denon option was too good to let go. Hopefully it all works out for me!
While there are some great deals on prior gen models, I definitly want something with HDMI 1.4a and network support as well as AIrPlay, so that pretty much forces me into something new. I've seen numerous mentions of Vann's 20% off on receiver, simply call in and order and from what i can see...
If you compared the Denon 2312 vs the Pioneer 1121, does your opinion change? SInce you mention a Wii and older DVD player, it seems like you may be taking into effect hte video scaler that the Pioneer 1121 has vs. the lack of one in the Denon 2112? I would be willing to go up to the price...
I'll preface this by saying I've owned two receivers in my lifetime, a Denon AVR-2800 which I had for 10 years. Ran cool, never a single problem. Highly outdated, and thus replaced about 2 years ago with an Onkyo TX-SR806. Got it for a great price. Lots of features, runs really hot. Began to...
The samsung LN52A630 (matte) has a 40:000:1 contrast ratio and the LN52A650 (glossy) has a 50:000:1 contrast ratio. The panels are identical, the contrast ratio difference is due to the matte vs. glossy. I looked into the 7 series, same exact panel/glossy screen as the A650 but with more gadgets...
I'm trying to determine if I'm going to be better off one way or another when it comes to glossy screen vs. matte screen for my room. The sliding glass door is on a patio which has an overhang. If you look out the door from within the room, you are looking south. The door is on the...
So it's basically a coaxial(wire) based IR extender. That could definitely be useful in this particular setup, as I may have a need for IR extender because the source components are down low and not in direct line of sight. However, this does not eliminate the need to chnage the channel # on...
Thanks. I'm trying to find an RF Modulator that is also a video input switcher. I'd liek to feed 2 sources into the modulator and have it output to the same channel on the TV (so the TV does not need to be adjusted). I'd also like the Modulator/Switcher itself to be IR controlled, so someone...
I am hooking up some equipment for a friend of a friend in their kitchen. The kitchen was remodelled and there is a TV in a center island on a lift. The source components are across the kitchen in another area. For some reason, the only connection between the center island TV and the source...
This is my living room, where my fiance and our spend much of our evenings and weekends. We are in the process of trying to get new furniture but our choices will be effected by HT layout and room layout. So here's what I got: Total room dimension is 13.3' wide and 16.8' long Second, a...
Update. Watched all 3 movies with DTS tracks yesterday. Did some close listening to my rear speakers. The rear channels (as well as front L/R and sub) were working, but I noticed that volumes from those increased through each disc. In Rambo I, effects were barely audible in rear...
Hope this is the right forum, but I just purchased the Rambo Trilogy and I'm playing it through a Sony S330 DVD player into a Denon AVR-2800. I know all 5.1 of my speakers are working, the little DTS test track that plays before the movie does goes through all my speakers, but it seems the...
I just realized, that only having a cable signal into my receiver and TV directly, means I need to have my receiver on if I ever want to record TV.
My cable box only has 2 outputs, 1 RF and 1 RCA set. In a situation like tonight, I want to record some TV, but I won't be home till tomorrow...
Something similarly related. I've got a Denon AVR-2800. I believe they have a fixed crossover at 80hz in the receiver on the sub pre-out, is this correct? I want to make sure before I move my x-over on my Infinity sub.
Chuck,
Thanks again. I believe I understand. Any device listed in REC OUT will receive the output signal from the device I currently select as REC OUT via the RCA Output for that device. So the receiver is pushing the REC OUT signal through ALL of it's outputs essentially.
