Hi John - Nice to see you! :thumbs-up-smiley: I think Mr. Vizio was just exhausted running around for soooo long trying to find a signal he just gave up and collapsed. haha No actually I think because the darn 'MUTE' setting never seems to revert itself back to 'ON' (after the unit powers...

Vizio SB 2920-D6 Sound Bar - No Analog Signal

Hello John Thanx for the reply ... TV is putting out an analog signal? 'Yes' but it remains a mystery as to why the Vizio endlessly searches for the analog signal? It worked previously in analog mode, (not anymore) ... I'm familiar with the setting option for “fixed” or “variable” however I...

Hi Gang I've searched this forum and can't find anything on the Vizio SB 2920-D6? I realize this is an old device but would really like to use a simple feature: Analog Out of a Smart TV Samsung UN32J5500 to Analog In Vizio SB 2920-D6. Yes the Vizio SB 2920-D6 worked previously (in analog mode)...

Compatibility Issues: eARC With Yamaha RX-V385 and Hisense 58R6E3 Roku Smart TV

Hi Gang - Happy Holidays! I bought a Yamaha RX-V385 - Then bought a Walmart Hisense Smart TV 58R6E3. I 'assumed' the Hisense had standard ARC? It does NOT. Apparently its eARC. When I search for recognition/connection (using Brand NEW ARC-HDMI cables), the TV displays the error message: device...

Hi again Gang - Hope all is well .... For now I'm still using my older Yamaha RX-V467 with Tannoy's for front mains, a Polk Powered Sub, and standard Yamaha Center Channel and Rears. I've customized EQ settings within the 7 Channel Enhancement Mode. Anyhow I've noticed for some time...

    New HDMI Cable Required?

Hi Gang I have a few older HDMI Cables (more than 6 years old) .... Keeping the discussion away from 'eARC' - With the new ARC Ports in Yamaha Receivers and TV's is there a need to purchase a newer HDMI Cable to connect from ARC to ARC between reciever and TV? As Always Thank You!

Buying a reciever with one less optical port .... um?

Ok then Lord Dalek Thank you .... So then it appears the 385 should be able to handle 4k - yes? And the price is modest (then maybe I can sell my 467)? As for Banana plugs, I would have actually preferred that style of connection but the darn things force the whole unit to 'stick out'...

Buying a reciever with one less optical port .... um?

Hello Mr. Lord Dalek I'm a great editor @ 73 years old & disabled - but I don't know what an X81 is? Yes I do have roku Ultra but currently don't have any problems/issues with playback .... Wattage - yes I realize those units are all over-rated. But I'm totally satisfied with what I hear now...

Buying a reciever with one less optical port .... um?

Thanks Guys! :dancing-banana-04: BTW - How would you guys rate that RX-V385 compared to the others: HTR-5835 and RX-V467? Aside from naturally being a later model with ARC, hoping I get at least comparable wattage? Thank You - Mike

Buying a reciever with one less optical port .... um?

Hi Gang Everyone here are helpful, courteous and professional - that's what makes a discussion forum a great place in which to post questions freely  (thank you)! I've owned two Yamaha recievers over the years (enjoyed them), from an HTR-5835 to an RX-V467. But I was a bit behind the...
