Search for one of my posts within the last few months that showed several maelstrom designs. But no matter whatever enclosure you go with, 1180 for 2 drivers is way too much power. 4 drivers on 1440 will be louder and utilize the power in a safer way too.
Do you have a subwoofer? If you will be using a subwoofer and cutting off both speakers at 80Hz anyway, then there isn't much difference as long as the bookshelves extend well below 80Hz. Invest the price savings on higher quality bookshelves instead of lower quality floorstanders, and you'll...
