I enjoyed Robot and Frank, I thought of it as a drama that just happened to be set in a world where robots are personal assistants. The cast was great and I was really pleased I caught it when it played locally.
Interesting. I enjoyed the episode for the most part. I did get a feeling in the middle that someone was consciously trying to do things that people expect from "Community," and may have come close to crossing the line into stupidity, but overall I got a "we are genuinely trying to make the show...
I am really interested in the storyline with Crosby and Renee. So far, my feeling hasn't been that the show is trying to once again imply that Crosby is to blame for missing out on Jabbar's early years. It's only Renee dragging it out as a weapon to retailiate for hurt feelings. Crosby did make...
Completely in agreement with David and Matt, the scene with Crosby and Julia outside the restaurant was phenomenal and moved me a great deal. On a side note, regarding my multi-quote post from a few days back, I wanted to apologize to Mike. In the course of the past few days, I thought my...
That's one of the surprising things I find about my reaction to this show. I actually like when it makes me feel a struggle, to really question what is right. Which is why clear-cut wins (like Victor at the baseball game) and shallow "bad" guys (the Luncheonette's neighbor) make us feel cheated...
Wowsers... the crowd gets tougher and tougher. Can I just say that I don't hate that I'm defending this show? The middle of this season, yes, had some questionable moments, but these last two episodes have been extremely solid and I'm just as much on board as I have been in previous years. These...
I am really appreciative that Warner went through the effort to reconstruct the original ending of the film, but when we're talking about a studio that put out the "Blade Runner" set, "above and beyond" is set at a high bar. I was seriously disappointed that nobody considered searching for more...
I normally try not to be so snarky, but that cover is hideous.
And though I would probably buy this set to have a complete collection of a show I once loved, I am so sad how this season wasted James Spader.
I want to write more later, but in no way did I feel it was a chore to watch the season premiere of "Parenthood." The episode felt elegantly structured to give a sample of where everyone's life was at the moment, and nothing felt any where near as contrived as the rush of events they piled on at...
Thank you, that's really awesome to hear on my first piece in a few years.
I did some DVD covers probably about six or eight years ago. I enjoyed making covers for CDs and VHS tapes, so when I saw that whole sites developed around DVD covers, it was a natural for me. It was the fact that people...
I have been wanting to jump back in to custom covers for a while now, but never had the time. Finally, over the past week, I knocked together this custom for GREMLINS 2 that I've been wanting to do ever since Warner did the horrible photoshop re-design of basically the same artwork for their DVD.
I always hoped some deleted scenes would turn up for this movie. I'm a huge fan of an L.A. band called The Muffs and the singer, Kim Shattuck had a bit part that ended up on the cutting room floor.
