Audio problem with Total Recall 2012 blu-ray

Yes it does work when switched to the alternate audio setting. Somehow I'm skeptical of many manufacturers doing a software update just for one incorrectly incoded Blu-ray disc. And yes it is a hassle, and Sony should correct it with a reissue and exchange.

Audio problem with Total Recall 2012 blu-ray

Is anyone else having issues with the audio cutting off and on with this disc? After calling OPPO about the issue, they informed me of a problem with the disc requiring the player to decide what audio format to play instead of the receiver. This is the only disc I've encountered requiring this...

Need to step up...can you help?

Lenore, I've got two Sony LCDs, 46in XBR6 and a 46in EX700 LED. The first is two years old plus and looks great in the living room that has a lot of ambient light. It is superb for HD satellite viewing and very good with video. Of course the usual caveats in horizontal dispersion and a little...

Jumping into the plasma pool! (Panasonic 65VT25)

I've got the TCP65V10 and have been enjoying for a year. It is a phenominal television right out of the box, and with calibration, imo the best display available pre 3D (and I'm not convinced 3D sets are better, but another story..). With its size, clarity and overall picture rendition, it gives...

WHV Press Release: The Lord of the Rings Trilogy (Blu-ray)

For me, the more LOTR the better! I'll be waiting for EE versions. (Unless, of course, I succumb to an Impulsive Impatient Inclination. I'm sure you've heard of this, soon to be AMA listed affliction.)

    Review of Pioneer Elite SC-27

I'll add some positives to this review as I too have had this unit for about two months now. I was a previous Denon owner (3803 receiver) and have always held that company in high regard. I was a little concerned with their latest models power supply (of the similar wattage output to the SC-27)...

The Frey Theater - DIY, but better every month

So you have five cabinets all with 15in drivers and another with an 18, and you feel there's not enough bass output? Man....I know it's a fairly large room but it must really suck up the bottom end....I haven' heard Cerwin Vegas for quite some time but I recall they were never shy of bass. I...

    Our Home Theatre

Thanks for all the kind comments. The cat doesn't seem to alter the sound reproduction, but does sometimes interrupt a peaceful movie viewing experience. He can be an absolute pest. But normally he just sits on my wife and watches the movie for awhile unless it's too loud for him. (Which is...

    Our Home Theatre

This room is dedicated to movie and music entertainment. It is approximately 12x17 originally designed and constructed for sound reproduction. The walls are 2x6s covered with 3/8in plywood, 5/8in drywall and floated with plaster. The corners are all concave radiused including where the walls...

Blu-ray Review HTF BLU-RAY REVIEW: The Matrix - 10th Anniversary Edition

The helicopter scene while rescuing Morpheus is an absolute classic sequence. The bullets shreading the office is still one of the greatest surround displays (and film also) captured on disc. I still use that sequence and the entrance by Neo and Trinity in the green marbled foyer for short demos...

Receiver upgrade to an HDMI receiver...

I have a SC-27 and if I remember right, you don't have to adjust the volume. The receiver sets it on it's own. In fact they say not to change the volume when running the processor. It is a very nice feature and can really dial in the system. You can still make manual adjustments if need be after...

buying used front spkrs: Vandersteen 1 vs Celestion SL6 vs Linn Keilidh

Quite a deal for a pair of Vandersteen 1s. I'm not familiar with the exact models of the others but the Celestions and Linns that I've seen (and heard) in the past were good sounding, But not true full range speakers. The Vandersteens are, and I do believe that's an advantage when you're talking...

    Panasonic TC-P65S1 Plasma

I have the 65V10 and believe it to be the best current production TV out. Period. I haven't yet calibrated it and it looks phenomenal on the THX mode in my dark theatre room. It's like looking out an exceptionally clean window: no over saturated color and you are there clarity, with truly...

    Denon LOST my 3800!

I called Gold Crown (the current west coast Denon warranty station after their own facility closed) today asking for a status update on my 3800. I was told they would have to find it. At this point, after reading this thread, I hope they can't find it.;)

    Denon 2800 dvd skip fix

I have a Denon 3800 currently at Denon, west coast, which has just today shut their doors. I've been told that my player is being sent to their new warranty service, out sourced to a company called Gold Crown in Torrance,CA. I believe. They (Denon) have had the unit since 1-5-04, and Gold Crown...
