Going through some hard copy files today from an UK trip in 1997 and came upon some saved postcards. I’m pretty sure this was bought at the Imperial War Museum in London.

Just saw Splendor in The Grass on TCM. The transfer looked tremendous, like 4K maybe.

I think the Bible was extensively rewritten over the years. Maybe the Bible is next for revising.

For commentary I’d nominate Steven Spielberg and George Lucas. Both seem very familiar with the series and paid homage in their films over the years. I don’t have their numbers. 😷

The film was shot 65mm. A new 4K or 6K scan, clean up, remix in surround and please a smilebox version. I think the audience is there, well I’ve been buoyed by the response to this discussion.

I’d take a new HD scan. The existing HD scan is just sad.

I know, but I saw it on a CINERAMA screen in Chicago IIRC. It was beautifully shot. A plodding film bible epic but I sure wish it would get some TLC.
