I decided to go with the Onkyo 707 - just placed the order. I got it from Amazon yesterday for $499 with free shipping. A great deal, although it appears to be on backorder until after Xmas. I'll just have to hope they get some in unexpectedly sooner. Or, just start 2010 off...
I'm down to 3 receivers, all within the same price range, with some slight variance. Here's where I stand:
I can get the Denon 1909 refurbished for relatively cheap.
For an extra $90, I can get an Onkyo 706 refurbished.
For an extra $70 (on top of the 706), I can get a brand new Onkyo 707.
So...
Jonny - agreed. I too have bought both the theatrical and extended versions of both movies out thus far. Having 6 discs for each movie seems like more than enough. I mean, there's already 3 discs dedicated to special features for each film! I can't imagine them giving us more or why people...

Does anyone know if the Toshiba 50H82 has a zoom function? I popped in my first ever purchased non anamorphic disc and couldn't find any way to zoom in on the image. Someone please help. Thanks!
I am in search for a relatively inexpensive DVD player (under $75) that will play PAL content on an NTSC television. Does anyone know of any players that will do this in the price range I'm looking at?? Or am I dreaming trying to find this at that price?? Any and all responses are appreciated.
