I thought it was great. For me, it feels like one of the good Star Trek movies (i.e. epic and captivating). Like Dave said, I'm actually looking forward to next week which is a lot coming from me, since I had actually quit watching it for a while last season.
I really enjoyed it and thought it was an entertaining episode (of course, I'm a casual Trek fan). The Borg were one of the coolest things to happen in TNG, so I'm glad to see them here regardless of how they were introduced. My wife is far more into Star Trek than me (she can actually remember...
What disappoints me is they didn't clarify the Rimbaldi thing at all. Is it a weapon of world destruction? Is it a fountain of youth? Is it the thing with the flower? Is it the thing that was burning the people in the church? What extra info did Sloane get at the temple last week? I'd have...
One more thing from my wife . . . When my wife read my post, she added that we do have the clue of Syd's scar. Took an organ? Operation? Oh, and we were cracking up when they pulled away from her laying on the ground in Hong Kong in the fetal position and I said (for Syd) "What's going...
WTH? That was awful. So many interesting things they had going and could have focused on, but they gave us nothing. No wrapup on Sloane, no status of Jack, Dixon, Irina. Just horrible. I mean, as far as I can tell, Will and Francie have always been a subplot really. I kept saying to my wife...
This is the first Enterprise episode I've watched this year. In Cincinnati they show it on UPN which is hard to receive . . . that is until I installed an outside antenna last week. I enjoyed the show. It could have been better but it was still enjoyable Star Trek. I like Archer -- I think...
*** 4/12/03 The antenna is sold**** I am selling my Radio Shack Double Bowtie UHF Antenna (#15-623). I bought this a couple months ago for improved high definition reception -- it works well for picking up UHF signals (which is what most digital stations broadcast). I'm selling it because I...
Full of unbelievable stuff, but still enjoyable. My wife loved the part when Syd did the in-store dress change. The whole premise that Syd and Vaughn would launch their own mission without orders is pretty far fetched. And both of the couple being agents was a bit desperate. And the...
Gregg, I'm sure all of the above is right. One thing I'd mention is make sure your DVD player is in the right "mode." I spent a week watching DVD on my new TV before I accidently hit the menu button (for the Onkyo DVD player) and noticed that it was set up for standard (4x3) mode and not...
