UHD Review A Few Words About A few words about...™ Almost Famous & Untitled Bootleg Cut -- in 4k UHD Blu-ray

Amazon is not taking any further orders for the 4K Steelbook as of now. I'm wondering if reported problems with some of the Theatrical discs may be holding things up? Anyway, I've got the older Bootleg Cut on DVD and also a Blu-Ray version, so it's not critical but was looking forward to the 4K.

    How good are DLPs??

A 50" or larger 1080P plasma would be my choice. I have a 56" Samsung 1080P DLP in my basement home theater, and it's a very nice tv with a great picture. However, my 50" Panasonic 720P plasma in the family room has a more even picture (light output is more consistent from edge to edge). DLPs...

Panasonic RP91 DVD Player - Mint In Box from 2002 - Refurb never removed from box

Sold pending receipt of payment!!!!!! I have this up for sale on another site, but I'll cancel it there if any HTF folks want this. I bought this in early 2002 as a backup to my RP91, which I thought was having issues, but fortunately it wasn't (connector issue). I kept this packed in the...

    Sony to reintroduce the Trinitron

Just had a friend cut and paste a blurb about a Sony press release "Sony announced today they are on the verge of resurrecting the Trinitron name for a new line of cathode ray based widescreen high definition TVs. The TVs will have more in common technologically with the small FD series...

MY RPTV just died and I'm LOST on this HD stuff.

I'd save up a little more money if $600 is truly your limit. The local Brandsmart here in Atlanta has a 42" Panasonic plasma & also a 42" Samsung plasma, both priced at $698. They've got a 32" Toshiba LCD for $498. The store is local to Georgia and S. Florida and handles a lot of closeout items...

    Help Please

You can get a decent picture with a non-HD digital signal on an HDTV. When Comcast went all digital in my area, the picture quality improved noticably on standard channels, but they still won't be mistaken for HD. An upconverting player will produce a very good picture on an HDTV. I doubt...

Experience buying a large TV online

Amazon & OneCall are probably my two favorite online retailers. I bought a 56" DLP TV from Amazon and didn't have any problems. OneCall has always been a very reliable online dealer and I've bought a lot of electronics from them, but not a TV. I've also bought a good bit of stuff from...

    Panasonic Viera TH-42PZ80U

I don't have this particular model, but I do have 3 Panasonic plasma TVs currently in use that I purchased over the last 3 years, and I'm very satisfied with all of them. Panasonic makes top notch plasmas, I say go for it.

Real Estate Question: Do I need to be present for the closing?

Depends a lot on the state where the property is located. There are procedures that have to be followed and in some states it can take 2 or 3 times longer to close than in others.

Canadian school uses psychic as basis for sexual abuse allegations

Edit: This is apparently from Canada, not California, got my Ontario CAs mixied up. So blame it on Canada (and maybe Anne Murray too). Sorry for the mistake in the header. Colleen Leduc has an 11 year old daughter, Victoria Leduc, who is non-verbal with severe autism. Colleen was referred to...

My 15 month old 50" Panasonic plasma went dead

The outlet is ok, everything else is working that's plugged into that box, and I've also switched plugs on the outlet, still no go. I've got someone coming tomorrow to look at it and give me an estimate (if they can determine what's wrong). Could be a fuse, or like you're saying, something a lot...

My 15 month old 50" Panasonic plasma went dead

My wife said she had the remote in her lap when the cat jumped up. She grabbed at the remote and caught it as it fell, then the TV went dead. I've unplugged the TV, left it unplugged for 15 minutes or so, and plugged it back in, nothing at all. The power light on the front isn't on, isn't...

    YADLPQ (Yet Another DLP Question)

I've been a big fan of rear projection tvs, had a Toshiba TW56X81 that I got in late 1999 and now have a Samsung 56" 1080P DLP (regular model, not LED). I also have a 50" 720P Panasonic plasma in the family room. Overall, I'd go with a plasma. I think the picture is smoother on a plasma, and...
