We had a couple guildies pull a Leroy just as we were calling it a night for our Molten Core raid ;) Nothing like having the raid party just chilling in the tunnel to Baron Geddon and Shazzrah's cave and then hearing someone yell out "Leeeeeeeeeroooyyyyy" on teamspeak. 3 lava packs, Geddon and...
I have a pair of black Half Jackets and love them. It did take a few weeks for them to break in and stop giving me headaches (tight fit). Still thinking about trying out the ice iridium lenses...
I bought a 300d around two months ago and have been loving it ever since. So far for gear, I have: RS60-E3 Shutter release cable Lowepro Micro Trekker 200 backpack 256MB Sandisk Extreme CF card 512MB Sandisk regular CF card (newer model, so decently fast) For glass: EF-S 18-55mm kit...
Hrmmm the regent power filters are basically the penguin biowheel models without the biowheel...so they don't really do a lot of biological filtration. I'd switch to something that would do a better job...or soup up the filter you have. I have one of the aquatech 30-60's on my 20gal tank and...
Adding a new filter won't solve the immediate problem...it takes time for the nitrifying bacteria colonies to grow to the point where thy can process ammonia and nitrite at a quick pace. For an immediate solution, using an ammonia and nitrite neutralizing media is your only solution. If you...
I'll definitely agree that the movie was very subpar... the video was clean...but like everyone else has said, the DTS track packs a very large punch. So far it is the only movie that has bottomed out my 142litre EBS shiva sub...
Fishless cycle is the only way to go. It is faster than cycling with fish and won't put any undue stress on any fish. I agree that Eheim is the way to go if you have the extra money.. I've only heard positive things about them. You don't have to clean the canisters as often, every 2-3...
Definitely read up about CYCLING your tank before buying fish. Chad, Oscars are fun fish...very personable! And you are right about Jags...nasty nasty fish...all mouth, teeth, stomach and attitude!
Yep, you can't beat BigAls for most prices. I actually just ordered some supplies from http://www.petsolutions.com/ last night. Their prices were pretty much the same as BigAls, but they ship to Canada...BigAls will as well, but at much inflated prices! The one reason I prefer Aquaclear...
As for a stand 75gal tank, check out your local classifieds or even better, checkout some of the aquarium related forums out there...there are tons of good deals to be found. As for filtration and heaters, you can't go wrong with Ebo Jager heaters...they are little more expensive than the...
I could live without TOD, but I'll still watch it :) Pretty much the same situation for me with the Die Hard trilogy set, for the extra couple of dollars, might as well get the box instead of the other 2 individually.
I have my 80gb drive done 10/70. That way I can just blow away my 1rst partition if I want to re-install..and I don't have to worry about losing any data (all stored on different partition/drive).
Putting plants in before the tank is fully cycled is probably a bad idea, you don't want any comptetition for the bacteria for the nitrogens! If you're going to use ammonia to start cycling, you probably won't need any other products. Just follow the fishless cycle articles...and does the tank...
I just noticed that you were thinking about getting an undergravel filter, do yourself a favor and don't go down that path. Get an AquaClear 300 filter and use 2 foam inserts instead of 1 foam + 1 carbon...you will have a lot more area for beneficial bacteria colonies. You should really read...
