Win an Onkyo TX-NR1030 9.2 channel Dolby Atmos AV Receiver

I would love the opportunity to try this Onkyo 9.2 Dolby Atmos receiver. While I am a HT enthusiast, it's never easy to dedicate funds to getting the latest and greatest technology when you also have so many other financial obligations. I had a dedicated 7.2 HT in my home, but was forced to...

    Lamp life on Sanyo Z1?

We've had our Z1 for almost 3 months now and no problems. How can you find out how many hours you've logged on your projector?

Well, it looks like I'm saving $$ for a new receiver, unfortunately.

    Best HTiB under $300

He just needs a receiver and speakers. He already has a prog scan DVD player and HDTV. I know that there are a lot of HTiB nowadays with the DVD player included. I'll look at some of the options already thrown out. Thanks.

    Best HTiB under $300

I know, I know. $300 isn't very much in the way of Home Theater, but I finally convinced a friend to get surround sound. And his limit is $300. There are a lot of Home Theater in a Box sets out there. I'm looking for the best bang for the buck under $300. Thanks.

Video "Switch Box" that does upconversion

I know that there are several receivers out there that do video upconversion where all input signals, composite, s-video and component are all output via component. (Denon 3803, Yamaha V2400 to name a few). However, I am looking to do upconversion without purchasing a brand new receiver. I read...

    The HT is finally up!!!

Tony, Actually the sconces are from Home Depot. It was only after we chose all of our light fixtures in our home that we happened to go to Ikea. Oh well, we saved a bunch of money buying from Home Depot rather than those lighting speciality stores. Funny story on the couches...We had a...

    The HT is finally up!!!

Erik, Yeah, that's on my neverending "to do" list. Right now it's angled up to the seating area. It's not optimally set, but I'll get to it sooner or later. Thanks for all of your help. I think our next big project will be to make our backyard look like a real backyard, with grass and stuff.

    The HT is finally up!!!

Thanks to everyone here on HTF for all your wealth of information and advice. I made a lot of decisions on the HT based on information that I got here on this forum. A buddy and me ran the wires before the sheetrock went up. I prewired for a 7.2 system, so I could easily add 2 more surround...

Will this work on a HK 325 or HK330?

Are there any HK receivers that do upconversion? If not, which ones out there do?

Will this work on a HK 325 or HK330?

Here is what I am looking to do. I have a Sanyo Z1 currently connected to my DVD player via component cables. I have 1 set of component cables from my equipment rack in the closet to the projector in the ceiling. (cables were run in-wall before sheetrock went up) I want to get a new HK receiver...

    S-Video and Audio over Cat5

Mike, This is the sort of thing that I was looking to do. I found the A/V baluns for sale ($120 for a pair) and I thought that would be the way to go. If I can just do audio through the CAT5, I have a run of coax I can use for the video. I'm looking to send the DVD audio/video signal from the...
