Verizon just replaced my 6+ due to very similar behavior. The phone wasn't exhibiting any symptoms when I took it in but they didn't question it. I got the impression that they've seen this problem before.

Aries 4 had to be scrapped because Watney used 4's MAV to leave Mars. -During Kapoor's news conference for Aires 5 he mentions bringing the astronauts back at the same time, giving the impression that the previous mission was Aries 3. What happened to Aries 4?

"Lossless" audio has nothing to do with bit-rate but rather it has to do with the way the audio data is compressed. Formats like mp3 and DD actually selectively discard audio information (frequencies) to compress the data size. Once that information is lost, it can never be regained.

I think this is the key bit of information.

I've noticed this with my iPhone 5 when I'm out in my yard. My house has steel siding and the wi-fi signal outside the house is quite weak. I don't know if I've experienced it yet with my 6+ or not.
