Do you have a recommendation for an amp? I know nothing about them

So I have done a little research and found that audiovox acquired AR in 2003. All of my speakers were made prior to audiovox. Yay. Does this further your opinion?Thanks again for the help

Thanks for the help. I ordered the 318s. And to think I almost bought a 7.1 set by onkyo for not quite $400. Bet I would have been disappointed.

Ok so I should get the 316s. And my entire speaker set except for the sub will be AR from the same era? What would it cost to top this set up?

So are you saying I should ditch all my AR speakers? I am not opposed to that Ill just have to see what I can get for em so I know what I have to work with on new stuff. I did buy the AR C225ps center on ebay $50 including shipping. So now I have 5 maybe 6 good 216s and the 225.

The oldest thread I can find on the 318s is from 2001. The 216s have a polycarbonite horn on the tweeter.

I bought them new in 1998 or close to that time.

I am finally upgrading my home theater. Just hauled the old 36'' 15 year old tv out of the house. It is replaced by a samsung 46'' 7500af 3D tv. My sony DA50es receiver now needs to be replaced. An onkyo tx-nr818 will be replacing it. I have 4 acoustic research ar216ps bookshelf speakers, a...
