Yeah, I saw on another website that they tried to get 7-disc cases and couldn't, and that each spindle will hold two discs in the Complete Collection case.
I got my bonus disc order a couple days ago, but it arrived with the spine of the bonus disc torn, ripped through the plastic and the paper. Disc itself is fine.
I'm not understanding how the whole series fits into the empty Complete Collection empty box, though. There are only four nubs to...
This is the first I've heard of this release. I've been buying the ClassicFlix "Little Rascals" restorations and loving them, so I may have to get these. But I am curious... it was restored in 4K, so why no 4K discs?
I've only had my 4K Blu-Ray player for about six months, and I'm constantly disappointed at what isn't being released on 4K. Especially newer movies, where they release a 4K digital version but only a standard Blu-Ray. Why? Cost, I suppose.
Anyway, if it's a blockbuster or a popular franchise...
Both. Dolby Vision or HDR10, it makes no difference; the feature doesn't work properly on any 4K disc.
No, I'm not that worried about it. I don't think I'm going to get it fixed. I'm just more annoyed at being told that my basically brand-new player needs to be "repaired."
I recently was given the Panasonic UB820 4K Blu-Ray player as a gift. After a few weeks, I noticed that a feature I rarely use, single frame advance, doesn't work properly on 4K content. Here is what I found:
-On 4K Blu-Ray discs, my UB820 will play forward in slow motion just fine, but it...
Someone with some degree of inside knowledge told me recently that if this Andy Griffith Blu-Ray set does well, then CBS "may" consider an "I Love Lucy" Blu-Ray series set. I was told that the "Lucy Ultimate" Blu-Rays didn't sell well, and that's why there were no more after Season 2.
I know, but it's well over twice the price. There just isn't another 4K Blu Ray player with Dolby Vision for a comparable price to the UBP x700. I wish the freezing issue wasn't so widespread.
I just got the Sony UBP x700 and straight out of the box it wouldn't play any disc from the 4K Alfred Hitchcock Classics Collection without freezing up later in the movie. "Psycho" especially. Tried wiping the discs down, tried turning off the update options that people have recommended...
