This thread topic is quite misleading. Tom's Hardware did not make this statement, some unaffilated analyst did. In addition it was 100% speculation (and not very insightful speculation at that). I honestly don't care which format ends up on top, and if individuals want to latch on to one or...
Um...SXRD is the technology used in the XBR2. SXRD=Technology (LCoS) XBR2=Model I purchased the 60" from Ultimate Electronics and have been very pleased with it. Does CC's warranty cover bulb replacement? Keep in mind that the XBR2's come with an extra bulb. I wouldn't recommend purchasing...
I had the JVC 61FH97 and returned it in favor of the the Sony KDS-R60XBR2. I was hoping not to have to pay the $700 premium for the Sony, but it won out in the end. The JVC is a fantastic display, don't get me wrong, but it had a few issues that I did not want to live with. The first being...

While walking through my local shopping mall this weekend I was approached by a gal doing marketing research (there is a marketing research business in the mall). She asked me my age and if I owned a DVD player. She then proceeded to lead me to their offices (in the mall) in order for me to view...

Chad, Jake (and Susan)
I too made a quick run over to check out Susan's claim. Since I only work a few miles from there it was no biggie.
No luck. They don't have them on the shelf. I asked the gal at the counter and she stated they don't have it yet, and (get this) it won't be out till the...
Jeepers Creepers.
I kept waiting for this movie to get started and suddenly one of the main characters was dead...the end. What? My two friends and I looked at each other and said, literally - "what the hell just happened?"

Just picked this up last night at my local "break street date" retailer. It is indeed limited to 15,000 copies.
The yearbook think is ok, just a booklet with a bunch of shots from the movie (I think).
But the best part...it comes with a plastic ruler!
You know, that little 6 inch plastic...
