    polk psw650 or paradigm ps-1000?

Yeah, I saw that Ray. Can you tell me how it performs on music? I've read in a couple of places where the 1000 outperforms it for music. We're probably 60 music 40 ht. Any Polk owners want to chime in?

    polk psw650 or paradigm ps-1000?

Just wondering which sub you would pick since both can be had used for 300-350. I had the ps-1000 and enjoyed it, and haven't heard the polk, so just looking for some opinions. Any other subs in this price range that sound better? Thanks in advance

    Paradigm vs. B&W vs. Polk

I owned the paradigm studio 20's for about 2 years, and really enjoyed them, but recently sold them because of the upgrade bug. After auditioning a ton of speakers, floorstanders included, I kept coming back to the polk lsi9's. Our final two choices were the b&w 602s3 and the 9's, and after a...

outlaw 1050 now, or wait on 950/750?

I will definitely be adding more power later. So, anybody using the 1050 as a pre/pro?

Best sub $1500 Full 6 speaker setup

I'm suprised somebody hasn't mentioned it, but I'll give my usual recommendation for the polk audio lsi9's. Having owned paradigm studio 20's, and having come very close to purchasing the b&w dm 602s3's, I finally settled on the the polks because they just sounded so damn good. They should blend...

outlaw 1050 now, or wait on 950/750?

Can anyone comment on the sound differences (if any) between the 1050 and 950 being run by the same amplification?

outlaw 1050 now, or wait on 950/750?

Since I'm working on a budget, and trying to keep the WAF up, I've recently run across the outlaw 1050 as an alternative for getting started. I really want the outlaw 950/750 but just don't have the money to do that after purchasing the polk audio lsi9's. My question is this: If I get the 1050...

    bookshelves for < $800

I second the polk audio lsi7's or lsi9's. I really recommend the 9's, they just sound terrific, and look great too. For a bookshelf, they put out a good amount of bass for a small place like yours. For not much more money, you could get the 9's as fronts, and the 7's as rears. Just my 2 cents.

    Outlaw 950/750 or 950/7100

Frank, my 9's in the rear will set about 25' from my mains, but since they will be on stands I will be able to move them come movie time. The replies are pretty evenly split between the 750 and the 7100. I'm probably leaning towards the juice and adding more amps if I decide to go 7.1. I do like...

    Outlaw 950/750 or 950/7100

Well, that's one vote for the power and two for the channels. Since this is my first venture into sep's I guess I'll either wait for some more feedback or just wing it. Great looking ht room Frank. I bet it just rocks in that room. Just out of curiosity, did you ever consider the 9's instead of...

    Outlaw 950/750 or 950/7100

Just wondering which one of these combo's would give me more long term pleasure/value. I originally had leaned toward the 750 for the extra power, and because initially I will only be running a 5.1 setup. However, I may eventually want to go to a 7.1 configuration. I will be pushing 4 ohm polk...

Audition and comparison: Polk LSi15, LSi9, Klipsch, MBQ...

Thanks for the review Derrick. I'm currently trying to decide between the lsi 9's or lsi25's for my mains. I was leaning toward the 9's with a dedicated sub (svs 20-39+) until I saw your impressions of the 15's. I'm waiting for the dealer to break in the 25's, but I should get to audtion those...

    New HT buyer

Having demo'd both the b&w 303's and the polk audio lsi9's, I can safely say that the polk is superior. Granted, the higher end b&w stuff outperforms the polks, but at this level, the polk's 2 1/2 driver array, ring tweeter, and fit and finish are much better than the entry level b&w. I was...

    New HT buyer

Fredrick, if you liked the Polks, do yourself a favor and try and audition the Polk lsi7's or lsi9's. The sound and build quality of these speakers is amazing. Check out acousticsounddesign.com for prices. IMHO I think they are much better than the B&W's and would still come close to fitting in...

spending $2000 on the front three speakers, which ones...

Geno, if you are trying to stay away from the towers with built in subs, and are 90/10 music/ht, I would definitely recommend the polk audio lsi9's matched to a good sub(svs?). I've had the paradigm studio 20's, which I've seen some members recommend for you, and recently auditioned the lsi9's...
