When I first went to 4K I purchased the LG UBK90 because it was the only reasonably priced player with Dolby Vision. I had nothing but trouble with them...them meaning 3 of them I kept taking back to Best Buy. The third time I went back I noticed that Sony had come out with the UBP-X800M2 which...
Polk makes a center channel speaker number S35 that is only 4" tall...has six drivers and a tweeter...I had one and sent it back because the Klipsch I bought sounded better to my old ears...lol. The Klipsch is about 7" and very large footprint. You might like the Polk...on sale for about $250.00...
Thanks for your help guys. I went to the link that John Rice suggested and found exactly what I needed.
I downloaded the one I wanted to a thumb drive and it worked perfectly.
Thanks again,
JOHN
I have several hundred 4K discs and I know on one of them at least that had a Dolby Atmos Demo on it. It was the demo that has several leaves ( for lack of a better word) that come from all directions to form a shape. I have tried the one on you tube but it is not atmos.
If anyone knows of a...
How many of us are TRIPLE dipping...guilty...I'll give my dvds to a charity house or something...I will probably give them my 400 disc player also...sure it will go to good use
I have a Denon AVR now that has served me well for years, but it is time to upgrade...I am retired and on a fixed income that doesn't allow me much extra cash...this would be great
My old 7.1 just decided to go to receiver heaven after a long relationship. I had to go back to an old 5.1 receiver I still had so a new 9.1 would bring me "Back To The Future".
I am retired now and have to spend a lot of time at home watching movies. I have a
very old 5.1 system and would like to upgrade, but can't afford it on my retirement income.
Congrats Rodney...you will like this player. As with all of them, it does not load fast, but acceptable. Excellent picture and sound !!! If you have to wait until X-Mas, you can at least buy some Blu-Ray movies. Wal-Mart has some for $10.00. JR.com has a lot of Blu-Ray movies on sale right...
You can just use the RCA cables...the shorter the better... all these cables just add to the already cluttered rear of my componenets...just not using the surround back speaker jacks on the player should work fine for the 5.1 inputs...you should still get the improved sound qualities. JOHN
Hey Tom...check post #154...I have this unit and it sounds great through my Denon 7.1 analog inputs...it also plays regular DVD's fine that my Toshiba A-35 HD DVD player had trouble playing...load times aren't too bad either. Hope this helps... JOHN
Chris... Paul Hillenbrand posted the owners manual link on post # 120...go to page 66 and check out the audio output chart and you will see under multi-channel output that Dolby TrueHD, DTS-HD, and DTS-HD Master are all output through the 7.1 channel outputs. That is how I have mine set up and...
I don't know much about the Dolby True HD or Dts HD MA. I had my Toshiba A35 HD-DVD player hooked up to the Denon receiver through the HDMI input. Now that I have the Sony Blu-Ray hooked up to the 7.1 I believe the sound to me is awesome. It seems so much better to me and all 7 speakers are...
Thanks for your reply Erik. I did get it working through the 7.1 inputs and the sound is awesome. I wish my Toshiba HD-DVD player sounded as good. Yes, I was one of those that thought HD-DVD would win the HD fight. Guess I was wrong again. At least I got 14 free movies out of the deal which...
