It all will ultimately come down to listining. If it were me, I would run seperate cables to different locations (at least 2&3). Cable is cheap in the scheme of things and will give you some flexibility if you need to change.
Yeah the MPX is a bit outdated. It was considered "stereo ready". You needed an MPX decoder to convert that signal to stereo. I would believe that it would be near impossible to find now. I believe they were hard to find then...
Sad to say it happened to me too. I wanted guacamole for tacos and ended up purchasing guacamole dip. After I tasted I realized the "I" had purchased the wrong product. Tossed that and went back and bought guacamole. No lawyer intervention necessary.
Phil, Sorry I cant recommend a specific brand, but my brother had bad experience with one he had gotten from Sears. It set him back over a grand (I believe it was the best they carried) and had it repaired 3 times and replaced once in 1 month. The technician told him that with his weight (about...
My fiance wanted one of those also. I was quickly able to talk her into a 15" LCD panel that i flush mounted into the wall (no dvd though but not at all an issue) Another option, if that is not possible, would be to buy an under cabinet mount such as...
Not weird at all... looks like an issue I had on a similar Tosh a few years ago. Apparently (from what i was told) they were prone to bad solder joints and may only show up after it warmed up. The fix was to reflow the solder joints (wanted 250 at the time to do it). I would of done it myself...
Christopher, thanks for that explaination. Yes I have definitely seen the 60 hz flicker, but I assumed the rectifier circuit would eliminate that. Plus the fact that I see it also on 12v circuits like tail lights and such. Now I was unaware of any type of modulation controls in these devices...
Maybe its just me, but does anyone else see this? Whenever I see an LED sign, stop light, tail lights etc, and I turn my head fairly rapidly not really focusing on the light source, the light tends to flicker. Another thing I would note that it tends to happen most while blinking. This seems to...
I figured I'd ask around here first. OK first things first.... I must say I am fairly dissatisfied with any of the digital display technologies out there right now, but i need an upgrade. I want to update my aging 61" phillips RPTV with something HD. After LOTS of looking at RPTVs (LCD, DLP...
I have the razr and i personally wouldnt recommend it. About the only thing I give positive marks for is reception. Beats the pants off my old LG. Which is good because I travel to a lot of remote areas and rarely lose a call. It is the multiple little things that make me count down the time...
Wow... Now thats a type of service you rarely see now a days, and will weigh heavily on my decision. Tom, I still havent made my mind up yet, but I can guarantee that I will be talking with you one way or another in the not so distant future... (Holidays kinda put a cramp in the ol check...
Room size?... 14x16x7. I wasnt exactly dissapointed with the sub, but always wanted something that could go quite a bit deeper, and this is the second time in 5 years I had troubles with it. As far as an ext amp, I had concernes about the need for crossovers and barring the one John S linked to...
First off the basics.. my room is 14x16x7 with two fair size openings to other rooms. I have a Pioneer elite vsx-45tx, klipsch reference (RF-3, RC-3, RS3) and a KSW-12sub. Now the trouble. The sub apparently went too low, too loud, one too many times. Feeling it was a bad driver, I purchased a...
Jose... your not alone in this boat... I just brought up a similar question here . I'm just not happy with the new technologies, and unfortunately, companies are quickly dumping CRT for the new digitals. They have their reasons I'm sure.. cost, effeciency, reliability, production... list could...
Well it's been a while for me on this forum, but I felt the need to see if it's just me, or are there others who are not completely impressed with the digital technologies? Let me start off with my first experience with HD. I was in a high end a/v store and they were running a loop of some of...
