I have Sony hw45 Es projector. And marrantz SR 6012 receiver. Will I lose picture quality if I play videos directly from my laptop to the receiver or else should I use a hard disk and through a blu ray player is better?

Hiii. I have a 1080 Sony HW45-ES projector. It’s 4-5 yrs old . It’s a nice projector. Should I upgrade to 4K projector or should I use it for 2 yrs and then get one ? Could you suggest any within the range of that projector. I looked up and found Sony 4K projectors to expensive.

you guys just download atmos videos in MKV format and play them using external hard disk connected blu ray player you get atmos?

yup it does. I tried it i still dont get audio if its atmos.
