It's just like this. Tommy Boy never adjusts his screen to fit the particular aspect ratio.

It's not white bar letterboxing. But yeah, that's what I miss by running a tight screen.

When I watch a movie, I like it dark around the edges of the projection's aspect ratio, like in a theater. So if the projection is say more toward the middle of the screen, you'll see the white above and/or below the actual image.

I just pull the screen, fire up the flick till I determine the aspect ratio of that particular film, then adjust the screen accordingly. Most of my viewing is classic so the AR varies all the time.

Ya know...I think I may have been missing out on some cool effects. Every 3D flick I watch (any flick for that matter) I always adjust my projector and screen to fit tightly around the frame. If there's one thing I hate is the white bars above or below the screening. So when people describe the...

I can only imagine this new restoration will be nothing short of stunning. But I do wonder how that 2013 showing went and what the film looked like.

I wonder if the studio approached DVS, provided some cash, and got additional marketing. Studios in the past have drawn the gauntlet on even fan made tribute trailers. Curious how this came about.
