Am I correct in assuming that the Denon and Yamaha receivers both have component inputs that are capable of receiving an HD signal? Or is there no difference in component inputs?
I think this post belongs here, though I did debate putting it in the TV section. Anyway, I bought a 36" Sony Wega HS510 this week. As it is an HD ready TV, I would like to hook up an HD signal to it at some point in the near future. Here is my problem. My surround sound system is a Kenwood...
That's great to hear, but the whole point of the show is that no one ever ages, develops, or changes fundamentally in any way. Even Barney falling off the wagon shouldn't have to happen, because storylines in this show typically don't span multiple episodes. I guess that the Skinner/Krabapple...
Personally, I think that it went sour when they started fiddling with characters. One of the nice things about the show has been that nothing ever changes (for more than one episode). Sure characters get added, but once there, they never change. Until Apu got married, Barney stopped drinking...
How about they just release the episodes without commentaries, and allow those of us who don't care about it to buy the entire series already? Then, they can take their sweet time cranking out commentaries for all 300+ episodes, and release special editions if there is demand for it. How much...
You're absolutely right. If they had just found more Aliens on another ship or an asteroid or something, it would have been better. It also could have cast some light on where they originate from and what their capabilities are. One of the things I liked about Alien3 was that it suggests that...
Oh, but that scene was awful where they encounter a dozen or so failed Ripleys clones. Just gore for the sake of gore. Definitely my least favorite scene in any of the Alien movies. I like your idea of having the confrontation take place on LV-426. That would have been much better. They...
I've already posted in a thread or two exactly what I hate about Alien3 and AR, so I'll avoid rehashing what pretty much everyone else here has said and offer a question I haven't seen in this thread yet. Assuming that you can look past all of Alien3's short-comings, it does give closure to the...
If they do this, I'd definitely like to see it be his origin story, which would be in the 1940's, to set it apart from the all of the other Marvel super hero flicks that have been released recently (not that I haven't enjoyed them).
That's great news. I love the Adult Swim cartoons, at least the cartoon network original ones. Seablab, Aqua Teen Hunger Force, and Space Ghost: Coast to Coast are just crying for DVD releases.
Thanks Frank. I'm under the impression that you can turn the Sony's auto-compression off by setting it to manual, but I'm not positive about that because the Wega currently in my house is just a 27" model that doesn't support auto anyway. I'd much rather have a set that does the squeeze...
Sorry if this is slightly off topic, but does that Toshiba have an auto 16:9 mode? I'm trying to decide between the Sony and Toshiba models listed above and I'd really like to have the "squeeze" feature handled automatically. Thanks.
