SOUNDBOKS is accepting pre-orders on a new $699 highly portable Bluetooth ‘Go’ speaker. Promising 80 hours of playback from one charge, the company says the new lightweight product is both durable and transportable with excellent connectivity, and suitable for both indoor and outdoor use.

“SOUNDBOKS is building social music experiences that connect us in a powerful, more transformative way,” said co-founder Jesper Thiel Thomsen. “The SOUNDBOKS Go provides a new level of sound performance that has not been seen in the current Bluetooth speaker market with a speaker of this size. We are redefining what it means to be together and how we can share musical experiences without being in the same room.”

Go weighs less than 20 pounds, features two 72-watt continuous class D amplifiers, “concert level” volume, and TeamUP wireless connectivity for pairing with up to four nearby SOUNDBOKS (Gen 3) or Go speakers. A new DIREKT streaming platform, which kicks off in April, is included with Go, as well as a mobile app for customizable sound profiles and a Bluetooth lock. A $59 carrying strap is sold separately.
