Austrian luxury brand reveals massive floor-rising foldable TV

Austrian luxury electronic goods brand C SEED has introduced the M1 165-inch foldable display for home use. The TV rises out of the floor to reveal a “sculpture-like” column unfolding the 4K Micro LED TV. The display is backed by a frame machined from a solid block of “aviation-grade” aluminum alloy, according to the company.

“Trendsetting contemporary uncluttered, free from all visual ballast. In these environments, big wall-mounted TV screens are an anachronism in modern interior design,” says C SEED Managing Partner, Alexander Swatek. “Therefore, C SEED took a totally different path and came up with a revolutionary design. The M1 provides unique entertainment in brilliant quality without compromising the character of a room.”

The M1 boasts a special screen surface treatment to achieve deep blacks and accurate colors. As well as HDR capability, the C SEED TV includes an ‘Adaptive Gap Calibration’ technology (AGC) to render borders between the display’s wings completely invisible. With emphasis on function following form, the design team says they have integrated a high performance invisible speaker system and an unfolding base which rises silently from the ground.

As well as marine display applications, C SEED manufactures the outdoor 201 and 144 foldable TVs conceived by the Porsche Design Studio. The latest M1 product is available with various options, including four color schemes and a choice of casings. No word on price, but one has to assume the M1 won’t be appearing at Best Buy any time soon. You can get more information on C SEED displays here.
