For those lucky owners of AudioControl components, the company has announced that its X-Series receivers and preamp/processors are now Roon Ready devices. The AudioControl X-Series models can now “transparently” discover and connect to Roon without configuration, providing access to bit-for-bit digital audio for subscribers via the home network.

According to the Seattle-based company, AudioControl’s X-Series 16-channel AVRs and AV processors – which are designed predominantly for home cinema use – can now “leverage the most advanced technologies available and are painstakingly engineered to be the ideal foundation of any premium home cinema.”

Roon’s subscription-based music management software enables access to local and streaming content, as well as giving users an ability to find new artists. Founded in 2015, Roon sets out to provide “the richest possible experience for music lovers to explore, discover, and listen to digital content.” The software can locate artist photos, credits, bios, reviews, lyrics, tour dates, and composers, all of which are presented to the user within Roon’s ecosystem. There is also an ability to search for, and access, an extensive library of personalized data based on your own music collection.

AudioControl’s Roon Ready X-Series AVRs and preamp/processors are available now. For more information, go to Audio Control.
