I'm in. Glad to see there are some transfers from the successive exposure negatives again. Everything on Volume 2 looked really good, but the ones from SE were truly amazing.

Hi Paul, yes there should be at least 5 SE's, could be more but it depends on the funding. Please share the news of the funder. This volume will be more costly than the last one so hopefully many others will want to join this historic preservation. https://www.puppetoon.org/vol3 Thanks, Arnie L

Do you sell them as signed copies or do generally use them as gifts? How much for a signed copy if you sell them? I would just like to get a complete set if I order vol 2.

Hi Ed, if you are talking about Vol 1 110 + 5 S/H for the signed ones. Only the donors receive signed copies of Vol 2 with a higher donation 250 or above. Most of the dollars go into the preservation of the projects.

I've just contributed to this wonderful preservation project. I've only recently discovered these collections.

For anyone interested, there still appear to be some copies of the first (OOP) volume available from some major online retailers. And of course, Vol. 2 is still available through the Puppetoon site.

Edit: Here's the Vol. 3 donation page for visibility.

DONE! Definitely enjoyed Volume 1 & 2. Seeing the anticipated playlist for 3 made this a No-Brainer

First time release of George Pal's Bravo Mr. Strauss (1943) Paramount Pictures will premiere on Volume 3. Narrated by Victor Jory and features the Screwball Army! Will be sourced from the original Technicolor Successive Exposure Negative! Below is a grab from our mint Nitrate but the Original SEN should surpass this by leaps and bounds.

Momentous Moment! The jaw dropping 4K preservation scan from the Original Technicolor Successive Exposure Negative of Western Daze (1940) arrived yesterday from Paramount Pictures! Perhaps George Pal's most important Puppetoon as it was his first for the studio with Ray Harryhausen as a key animator and Mel Blanc voicing with spectacular sets and music by Oscar winner David Raksin (Laura) and famed musical director Andre Kostelanetz. One of the many stunning newly restored subjects not seen in generations to be featured on The Puppetoon Movie Volume 3 Blu-ray. Hang on to your socks, much more to come ~ www.Puppetoon.org

One of our great dust buster clean up artists and colorists Fabio Paul Bedoya Huerta is working hard to get the best results in color and picture for our 35mm Nitrate Technicolor print for George Pal's Puppetoon JASPER'S PARADISE (1944) that will be featured on The Puppetoon Movie Volume 3 ~ your donations are badly needed...please contribute here: https://puppetoon.org/vol3/

Converting from DPX to ProRes 4444HQ tonight, the long awaited 35mm Gasparcolor print of On Parade (1936) sent from England. Charming George Pal masterpiece that utilized hundreds if not thousands of replacement figure puppets. From here clean up then color correction. Will probably take a good couple of months.

Sneak Peek before / after restoration George Pal's Shoe Shine Jasper (1946). This was the final Jasper made for Paramount Pictures and many consider their favorite. Here's a glimpse of the kind of fantasy storytelling Pal knew best and would later revisit with feature films like "tom thumb" (1958) and "The Wonderful World of the Brothers Grimm" (1962)
