Easily one of the worst movies I've ever seen. Do not waste your time unless you enjoy headaches, plot holes and main characters who can't speak English.

There are some movies that would just waste your breath trying to come up with such a snazzy or witty review of how bad they are. This is one of those movies. You can check out my semi-review on my website, but honestly it was worse than Kiss of the Dragon. Maybe this will teach Statham to go back to Guy Ritchie for help.

I can't believe how much this film is being promoted. I've been seeing the trailers on TV for what seems like the past month. Every time I see one I think, "wasn't this movie released like two weeks ago?" Does the studio think they have a winner on their hands or something?

Ben, part of the reason for that is that it was originally scheduled to be released in mid September, but it was delayed at the last minute. So you actually have been seeing ads for it for a month :)

From Luc Besson (Leon) starring Jason Statham (The One, Snatch), an action movie with an Asian female action star, it can only be awesome and nothing less. This is another fix I'm anticipating now that I've seen Ecks vs Sever 3 times already :emoji_thumbsup:

I was looking forward to this one too. Drats. :frowning:
Lenny Nero,
No offense, but I don't think I can trust someones premature speculation of greatness when they have voluntarily seen Ecks vs Sever 3 times. :)

Hehe, yeah I'm serious, I've even put aside a spot for it on my Top10, and if you check the others on my lists you'll understand what I like :b therefore The Transporter is right up my alley.
If you hate Resident Evil and Ecks vs Sever you will not like it. There.

"From Luc Besson (Leon) starring Jason Statham (The One, Snatch), an action movie with an Asian female action star, it can only be awesome and nothing less."

The asian female cast,SHUQI,is not a good action star. Her performance in HK horror films is much better than her role in COLUMBIA's "SO-CLOSE".
She is just too soft for the action roles.
I guess maybe she was being chosen for the role because she looked very sexy with great figures,a real eye candy...
For your reference, just look at her roles in SEX AND ZEN as well as other old softporn flicks.

Good looking, female actioners from asia had already stopped their acting careers, such as YANG LI-QING and LI SAI-FUNG.
MICHELLE YEOH is the only female who is still in the movie business.

LUC BESSON's recent flicks does not score as well as his own directed films such as THE PROFESSIONAL and THE BIG BLUE and THE MESSENGER:JOAN OF ARC.

I thought this movie's release was moved up because the studio thought they had a winner on their hand. I hope your grossely wrong. I had been hearing good things and the action sequences in the trailers looked really cool.

I thought Ecks vs Severs was one of the worst films I had ever seen so that does not bode well. I hope the positive review of this film from the person that loves E vs S does not mean that I will like this film the same as E vs S.

While I appreciate you didn't like the film, your "review" amounts to troll bait. You basicaly say "omg it sucks", and that's supposed to tell me "man, that's not a good movie".

W-H-Y?

Details are everything.

I've been figuring it can't be worse than Kiss of the Dragon, which I considered to be a little flat here and there, but basically watchable and with entertaining action.

All I want from Transporter is the same ... basically watchable and with good action. Hopefully with less flat/dead/huh spots in it.

THE TRANSPORTER is just another FOX's/BESSON popcorn flick.

Filled with lots of flaws,as well as fun filled actions, especially driving stunts by JULIANNE team, which is the "best" in EUROPE!

i saw this earlier today and hell i liked it. first off you gotta realise what movie your seeing before you see it. when i saw the COUNTLESS commercials for it i knew automatically that this film was going to be just for the action. i didn't care about the plot so if it had one then i was gonna be surprised. granted the plot was so-so but if you want to see a good action flick go see it. simple as that. but i can't wait for this thing to come out on dvd.. why you ask? SO I CAN HAVE SUBTITLES... OMG i lost SOOOOOO much dialogue from the damn accents it wasn't even funny.

I like movies where cars are driven really fast. I like movies that take place in Europe. I like movies that take place in Europe and where the actors actually speak like they're from the countries they're supposed to be from. I like movies where European cars are driven really really fast through European streets with the actors really talking like they're from the places they supposed to be.
And kung fu. Especially kung fu.
I like a moment or two (no more) where you cry out "Yeah, right!" in happy disbelief. Where every bullet has a tracer. Where a man can live in a gorgeous seaside house in France on "my Army pension", and people believe him. Where your sweater can be a deadly weapon. Where the women are beautiful and willing to sleep with you "in exchange for the inconvenience".
As you might have guessed, I had a blast at THE TRANSPORTER. A fun way to waste 90 minutes.
Grade: B
P.S. If the above doesn't float your boat, if you can't accept that a car can drive off an overpass onto a car-transport passing by on the street below, if you can't accept that a man can dive out of a plane and parachute with pin-point accuracy onto a container truck driving on the freeway below, then I suggest you stay away. You really won't like THE TRANSPORTER, and will probably be actively annoyed.
I had a great time. :)

I had a ton of fun, was impressed with Stratham (especially the physicality of the role), and thought it had enough unique to make it worthwhile. Far, far better than Ecks vs Sever, and worth every penny.

Made with the same fast and loose mentality often found in asian action cinema, so go in with that mindset and you'll have a blast.
