Hey HTF'ers! I've noticed a bunch of folk livin' in and around Puyallup/Tacoma! For that matter a bunch of Seattle-lites too. What's say we see who lives where and think about scheduling some get togethers? A buddy suggested we can have "theater nights" where once a month we gather at somebodies house/home theater and hang out, meet each other, and end the night with a flick! Every month we rotate to another guys/gals house. Posted Image

Watcha say?

I'll start my saying I live in Puyallup right off of Meridian & 176th Street (South of the South Hill Mall...as your going towards Eatonville).

Let's see who we can round up!

I game, I live in Kent (I'm sorry too) about 2 miles east off of SR167. Don't have a great set-up, but it serves well. But have a large deck and plenty of room for roaming around and sit down discussions.

I have sent you an e-mail with my info.

Hey guys...I'm here...been VERY VERY busy the past couple weeks...sorry :b I didn't even see this thread until just now!

Yes indeed, we did buy the house (in Puyallup)...but it's not ready yet. We probably won't even close on it until around December 1st. They are just finishing up the drywall.

Unfortunately, the HT room isn't going to be as big as I had originally wanted...the room I'm going to use is somewhere around 12X13 or 12X14 right now though, which is fine...but it's not quite as big (long) as what I wanted.

The house however, I love. And so does my wife...so I gave in on trying to get a perfect HT and went with this one.

Here are some pictures I took with my Sony Digital Camera:

http://www.buntingon...onstruction.htm

The only thing that is stopping it from being a perfect HT room is an extra bedroom right next to the room I was planning on using. The wall can easily be knocked out in the future...but I'm not 100% sure I'll do this right away. We purchased this house a little late in the game to do anyhting special to it, unfortunately Posted Image

I would be down for a HT meet somewhere...but my place isn't going to be available for a meet until sometime in early 2003.

But mark me down (and the wife as well if you guys have spouses) as an atendee for the first meet. We just need to get a date and a location....I should be able to make it!

Congrats Michael!!

That's exciting, we purchased our first place (a condo) about 4 years ago and then we sold the it about a year and half ago and bought a house on the East Hill of Kent.

Nice pictures can't wait to see what it looks like when it's all done.

Again congrats and hopefully see ya soon.

Hey Mike that's great! Posted Image You are about a 10-15 minute drive from my house!!! Sweet! Posted Image It's exciting watching your own house be built huh?!

I'm hoping to have my HT room done by Thanksgiving and I'll be happy to hold the first meet unless James wants to hold the first one!?

Again, that's exciting Mike!

Count me in. I live in Buckley and have been heavily involved in Audio and Home Theater for the past 25 years. This has included over eight years working in the industry. We just bought a new house this summer and it has a 702 square foot bonus room, that houses my office and "the Rialto" theater, which is usable but not finished.

I would love to attend theater nights and host one after the new year.

Ok I am in too... I am in Sammamish by Pine lake. If you want to have a night let me know and I will step up and be the first. Would be good to have some people walk through and listen to get some more ideas and feedback.

I'm hoping to convert a 3-car garage into a 2-car-1-theater garage within a few months here in Auburn (Lakeland Hills).
